libjpeg-turbo is a derivative of libjpeg that uses SIMD instructions (MMX,
SSE2, NEON) to accelerate baseline JPEG compression and decompression on
x86, x86-64, and ARM systems. On such systems, libjpeg-turbo is generally
2-4x as fast as the unmodified version of libjpeg, all else being equal.

Updated: libuninameslist-20210917-1

2021-09-18 Thread Lemures Lemniscati via Cygwin-announce
The following packages have been updated:

- libuninameslist-devel-20210917-1
- libuninameslist1-20210917-1

This is an update to the latest upstream.

Note: Additionally, libuninameslist-devel-20091231-2, and
libuninameslist0-20091231-2 have been updated with rearranged
packaging: docs are moved from libuninameslist0 to libuninameslist-devel
in that version, for avoiding confliction.

Libuninameslist provides a Library of Unicode names and annotation data.

This release contains NamesList.txt 14.0 released Sept14, 2021,
and ListeDesNoms 13.0 (plus improvements).

See release notes for more details.
https://github.com/fontforge/libuninameslist/releases/tag/20210917

Note:
This Cygwin release contains libuninameslist with a large (sparse)
array mapping each unicode code point to the annotation data for it
provided in http://www.unicode.org/Public/UNIDATA/NamesList.txt ,
and libuninameslist-fr as a French version.
But, Python wrapper uninameslist.py (ver0.2) is NOT included.

xwin-xdg-menu-20210918-1

2021-09-18 Thread Jon Turney

The following packages have been updated in the Cygwin distribution:

* xwin-xdg-menu

xwin-xdg-menu is an XDG Desktop Menu Specification [1] menu for the X
Window System running in the Cygwin environment.

xwin-xdg-menu reads the menu specification and desktop entries, and
constructs a menu which is accessed from a notification area icon.

[1] http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/menu-spec-latest.html

The changes since 20170623-2 are:

* Fix leaking ignore SIGPIPE into child processes (Thanks to Takashi
Yano for the patch).
