It does not work like that any longer.  Science has been politicized.

People’s opinion on things they don’t really have first-hand

You can’t convince people of what would harm them socially if it were

status, and violating it no longer penalized by loss of status.

Someone who doesn't buy into a particular conspiracy does not (necessarily) 
share any traits with the religious whack jobs that burned witches at the 
stake. They were driven by ignorance and religious fervor.

It seems you would like to have it both ways - denying the validity of science 
when it suits you, and at the same time using your own brand of scientific 
speculation to support a particular conspiracy, again when it suits you. Either 
science is real, or it isn't. Hint: science and the scientific method are 
fucking real.

I haven't despite the fact people keep recommending it. Mostly due to my
seeming obsession with current events reading and digging the truth
'pepper' of the news 'fly feces'. Top of the list. Planning a trip to
the Rocky Mountains this summer. Then East to visit some old
Music/Radical friends on the East Coast ... may be a good time.

Hehehe... Crisis IS business as usual for Capitalism. America has been
experiencing "Disaster Capitalism" for decades now but the citizens are
a lttle slow to understand it's intended to be that way by the economic
elite. It takes time to break people badly enough to be desperate for an
authoritarian totalitarian who will 'fix things' for them.

the tide of progressive social changes by governments... opposition to

alludes, and as such Fascists can never be "political dissidents"
because their 'dissidence' changes to suit whatever offends them about a
given society at a given time.
