According to a description of the Quran burning incident in Al Jazeera: The Quran burning was carried out by Rasmus Paludan, leader of Danish far-right political party Hard Line. In April last year, Paludan’s announcement of a Quran burning "tour" during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan sparked riots across Sweden. Meanwhile, a 37 percent increase was recorded in exits from the Schengen Area towards the U.K. where 71,081 individuals were detected. The 13 million Ukrainian refugees recorded entering the EU via its external land borders between Feb. 24 and the end of the year are not included in the figures, Frontex confirmed. More than 80 percent of illegal migrants detected were adult men. “Women accounted for fewer than one in ten of the detections, while the share of reported minors fell slightly to around 9 percent of all detections,” Frontex stated in a press release on Friday. The EU border agency stressed that the figures were based on preliminary figures, admitting “the final figures may be higher due to delayed reporting.” The statistics on illegal border-crossings are separate from the number of asylum applications made across Europe, which perhaps gives a more informed view of the crisis enveloping the continent. Almost 790,000 asylum applications were made in the EU between January and October last year, according to EU Agency for Asylum chief Nina Gregori. This represents an increase of 54 percent compared to the same period in 2021 and does not include the temporary protection afforded to Ukrainians. “It’s pretty clear that the growing number of applications will continue for the foreseeable future,” Gregori said in December, with asylum applications in excess of 100,000 each month in the latter months of the year.

Sweden’s criminal justice system has traditionally focused on rehabilitation rather than punishment but SD is calling for longer prison sentences and wider use of deportation. “Deport foreign criminals … and no discussion,” says one of SD’s new election posters. “It is time for the Swedish people to give us a chance,” Sweden Democrats (SD) leader Jimmie Åkesson told a crowd of several hundred on a recent weekday evening. “It’s time to give us a chance to make Sweden great again.” Åkesson claimed the Social Democrat government had let the welfare state fall apart and said his party was growing because it dared to call out such failings and “call a spade a spade.” “Sweden has been a great country, a safe country, a successful country and it can be all these things again,” he said. Less than 100 years later, Islam had conquered more than two-thirds of Christendom, and was raiding deep into France. While these far-reaching conquests are often allotted a sanitized sentence, if that, in today’s textbooks, the chroniclers of the time make clear that these were cataclysmic events that had a traumatic impact on, and played no small part in forming, Europe proper, that is, the unconquered portion and final bastion of Christendom. Patel, who is currently on a three-day visit to Washington, D.C., said the UK’s asylum system was a “complete merry-go-round” with a “whole industry” devoted to defending the rights of individuals intent on causing harm. “The case in Liverpool was a complete reflection of how dysfunctional, how broken, the system has been in the past, and why I want to bring changes forward,” she told reporters on her flight to the U.S. capital. “It’s a complete merry-go-round and it has been exploited. A whole sort of professional legal services industry has based itself on rights of appeal, going to the courts day-in day-out at the expense of the taxpayers through legal aid. That is effectively what we need to change.” She added: “These people have come to our country and abused British values, abused the values of the fabric of our country and our society. Truth can be shared in books and documents but nothing is comparable when living it daily. When I was a child at school, I was told by my Muslim teachers during classroom that anyone who is not a Muslim, is dirty. The teacher had given me his own proof, taken straight from the Qur'an, that all Jews are either pigs or monkeys: "Say should I tell you about an evil as judgment from Allah, the one which Allah curses him, and being angry of them, and made from them monkeys and pigs those who worshipped evil;- these are worse in position, and far more astray from the right path!" ( سورة المائدة , Al-Maeda, Chapter # 5, Verse # 60). In such culture, you have one of two choices: either you decide to be part of it, either you decide to find the truth. Who in the world is going to believe that God the Almighty transformed Jews into pigs and monkeys because they went fishing on a Saturday? That story made me question the legitimacy of the Qur'an. It doesn't make sense that Allah, which Muslims claim is the most just god, is going to turn someone into a pig and monkey for trying to feed his children. Especially after reading the interpretation of the story which states that Allah purposely caused the fish to disappear during an entire week except for Saturday as it then reappeared. This means Allah made the Jews starve, on top of punishing them for trying to survive which is a contradiction to Qur'an 5:3 "But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, Allah is indeed Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (Yusuf Ali translation). Many questions came to my mind since hearing that story. Why doesn't Allah turn the killers, rapists and thieves into pigs and monkeys instead of the ones fishing on a Saturday? Consequently, it's what made me study Islam in addition to all the accusation Muslims had against my belief as a Christian. I worked hard reading as much as I could in order to learn and educate myself. After graduating from high school, I decided to study the Islamic law which would qualify me to work as a lawyer or as a judge in any Islamic state. As a matter of fact, the degrees I have are not what made me knowledgeable about Islam, rather it was the hard work and many years of researching the Islamic books. There came a point where I felt it was my time to inform people, with my help and knowledge, inform them of the truth about Islam. Now the suspect has been labeled a terrorist, and it seems that authorities/media initially downplayed who the suspect was so as not to antagonize specific communities. Authorities believe the Somalian acted alone and are "not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident at this time." BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner noted that the suspect was not on a database of terror suspects. The decision to label the brutal slaying of Amess as an act of terrorism confirms that the killer was motivated to use violence to further his cause.
