Live Online Lecture Series!
Dear Friends, The Dafyomi Advancement Forum is happy to announce the start of a series of LIVE ONLINE SHIURIM. Our inaugural lecture will be an in-depth Shiur, in English, entitled, "The Shevu'ah: Genuine or Virtual Prohibition?" It will be given this Sunday, February 16 (14 Adar I), at 5:00 PM Israel time by the renowned Ga'on, HaRav Dov Zupnik, shlit'a, of Yerushalayim. This inaugural Shiur will be open to all. It will be interactive -- participants may ask questions during the Shiur. To join the Shiur, visit www.dafyomi.co.il/lectures.htm . D.A.F. plans to present, b'Ezras Hashem, a series of bi-weekly, general-interest Shiurim. These lectures will consist of in-depth analyses of the Daf ha'Yomi (such as the present Shiur), or historical and archaeological perspectives on the material discussed in the daily Daf. Shema Yisrael Torah Network's online shiurim
D.A.F. thanks the SHEMA YISRAEL TORAH NETWORK (SYTN) for hosting our new series of live Shiurim in their Paltalk chat rooms. SYTN offers structured, text-based learning programs for those who work full time. Anyone may participate -- present participants include doctors, lawyers, accountants, computer engineers, businessmen, congregational rabbis, teachers and Mashgichim. Participants receive two written Shi'urim per week, review questions, and tests. Qualifying applicants may also join the Semichah Program. Every part of the learning is prepared by eminent scholars and is explained on a level comparable to that of collegiate and post-collegiate studies, with a detailed schedule and curriculum for each program. Some of the Shiurim are accompanied by weekly, live online Shiurim. The length of the programs varies from 1 to 2 1/2 years; new participants may join at any time. Programs are offered (in English) in the following areas: 1. Shabbos and Eruvin 2. Isur v'Heter 3. Choshen Mishpat 4. Hilchos Nidah 5.
