Aurélien, thanks for your answer. But I find it a bit confusing if
compared to behavior of old versions.

Re: [darktable-dev] dt 3.0rc1 → gamma module

2019-11-17 Thread Aurélien Pierre
Hi,

the gamma module does not do what it says anymore. It's a leftover of dt
0.x before the output colour profile was added.

It has always been there but didn't appear in the history before. It
still doesn't appear in UI. I don't remember why we made every module
appear in the history now (except the mask manager, which function I
don't understand), but here it is.

The gamma module is now only converting the floating point output of the
pipe (image or masks) to 8 bits unsigned integers, to be sent to the
display. As such, it is not used when exporting to a file.

Aurélien.

[darktable-dev] dt 3.0rc1 → gamma module

2019-11-17 Thread Timur Irikovich Davletshin
Hi dear developers!

Short question. What is gamma module which has appeared in history
stack in dt 3.0 builds? There is no such module in darktable nor it can
be disabled in history stack. Is it something that has got into history
stack by mistake or some hidden darkroom module?

Thank you in advance,

Timur.
