[darktable-devel] Darktable crash-demosiac?
First, thanks for all the hard work on DT 1.6. It's awesome. I am running 1.6.0-2 (Debian), and am experiencing crashes, that I can only partially reproduce (hence no bug report yet). When exporting images (from both Pentax DNG and Sony ARW), DT crashes repeatedably on certain, but not all images: "darktable: /build/darktable-MljFy_/darktable-1.6.0/src/iop/demosaic.c:1165: demosaic_ppg: Assertion `roi_in->height == roi_out->height' failed. Aborted". I can avoid this crash, by changing the PPG demosiac (fast) method into another demosiac setting. However, the images that are processed without any errors use the PPG (fast) demosiac method withour problems. Please advice. [darktable-devel] Fujifilm X 30 profiled denoise
Hi guys,
since you make such a great piece of software, I felt the need to give
something back.
I created a FujiFilm X 30 noise profile (attached), and I am pleased
with the results.
The whole set of profiling files can be found here: http://we.tl/Iov9ChxmvA
(available for 7 days).
Many thanks, Rob

Re: [darktable-devel] Fujifilm X 30 profiled denoise
I'm very sorry, but the same segfault occurs in 1.6.6.
/home/rob/scripts/darktable-release-1.6.6/tools/noise/subr.sh: line
442: 13454 Segmentation fault darktable-cli "$input" "$output"
> /dev/null 2>&1
If someone with a working setup could run the profiles denoise
script on the FUJIFILM X 30 images provided here (http://we.tl/Iov9ChxmvA) I
would be most grateful.

Hi Roman,
that's difficult, because the script kept segfaulting on
me and never finished completely :

Yes, there is such an issue :(
I would just try to downgrade to 1.6.6 for noise profile
generation.
Therefore, I included the whole set of data.
Please advice,
Rob

Unfortunately, there is only one person

the chances are that it will not happen in 7
days.
It would be better if you could just
attach generated
dt-noiseprofile-.tar.gz to a mail
and send it to this thread.
Many thanks, Rob
Roman.

[darktable-devel] Lens incorrectly identiefied
Hi, I made a lensfun correction profile for the Pentax DA 35 lens. And the lens profile works nicely if selected manually, but DT (1.2.2 and GIT) do not automagically recognize the lens. The image information box in DT says: Unknown (0x07d6) . The exif info says: exiv2 -pt /IMGP2634.DNG|grep -i lens Exif.PentaxDng.LensType Byte4 Unknown (0x07d6) Exif.PentaxDng.LensInfo Undefined 80 0 135 176 34 0 214 1 24 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 24 214 27 105 116 4 17 33 224 88 64 76 1 42 149 251 255 255 255 214 33 116 4 16 32 165 3 0 0 0 0 0 183 251 214 136 0 4 4 48 7 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 3 79 208 244 63 167 252 74 23 0 250 128 0 0 0 3 Thus, if I change the lensfun correction profile into: Pentax # smc PENTAX-DA 35mm F2.4 AL Unknown (0x07d6) Pentax KAF2 1.5 all is well, and the lens is correctly and automagically detected. But it's not pretty. Is there a way to make DT recognise "Unknown (0x07d6)" as "smc PENTAX-DA 35mm F2.4 AL"? Thanks, Rob -- Learn the latest--Visual Studio 2012, SharePoint 2013, SQL 2012, more!
