copy or move the files from the card to the local drive, don't
"copy-import" whatever that is. and why are you worrying about video
files, dt doesn't do video, it does stills.

No, yes.
I was trying to help out (prior to finding out that 2.4.3 supports GX9) by
providing color profile?

More basic question - how can any new camera profile be added if we
can't load a raw file?

there is a blog article about this subject:

does 2.4.2 provide support for the GX9 or do you need newer version of dt?

Re: [darktable-user] Failed to load?

2018-05-04 Thread Dave Pawson
Hi Paul. Yes, I think it is off.
I can see images (some corrupted to large block pixels), so they are loading,
I can't set whi bal off prior to loading the image, so it seems to be
a catch 22
situation?

Tks for the reply though.

This maybe way off for you. I had an external USB 3.0 multi HDD bay for
my backup photos and videos. If I inserted a HDD while Darktable was
running I would get that error. The bay would remount all the drives. I
changed the cable to a USB 3.0 from a USB 2.0 cable which was one of the
problems and make sure that all HHDs I want mounted were mounted before
using Darktable.
Since them that error has not appeared.

[darktable-user] Filename displayed beneath thumbnail

2018-05-04 Thread kneops
Can this be done in DT? I've searched the settings and preferences page
but can't find this option. I kind of need this, because when shooting a
lot of images, some series that have images that look very much alike,
it is much easier to scan the thumbs page for the right filename instead
of going over all the thumbs with the mouse and keeping a constant eye
on the left panel with file info.
