Re: [darktable-user] Darken or lighten unsharp areas?
Hi Peter, is there any program out there offering this feature and if so, what would be the purpose of doing this? I am not a developer, I am just intrigued why there would be a benefit in such a feature. Possibly a mask could be drawn around the unsharp area and then the exposure module or something similar could be used for changing the brightness of the selected area. What I really love about darktable is the drawn and parametric masks. Re: [darktable-user] "selected image(s) - move..." doesn't move !?
I am using Windows build 3.4.1.1 and the function of move worked fine for me when I just tested it. [darktable-user] "selected image(s) - move..." doesn't move !?
Hello, I wanted to move a few previously imported images to another folder. The dt documentation says: move Physically move selected images (parent file plus all accompanying XMP sidecar files) to another filesystem folder. However, when I try it, dt only copies the image files (not the sidecar files) to the new destination and leaves the original image files and the sidevar files in the source directory. Also the images are still part of the old film roll. My expectation was that after the move image and sidecar files would be in the destination directory, but not in the source directory, and that the film roll content would reflect the change. My steps in detail: * "collect images": original film roll * select images (click on first, shift-click on last) * "selected images" - "move..." * in "select directory" window select destination directory, * and click "select as destination" * in confirmation window "do you really want to physically move 3 images to ..." click "yes" * for a moment a message seems to appear in the left lower corner. Nothing else happens, result as described above. Am I doing anything wrong? What is the correct procedure to achieve what I expected move to do? I'm using dt 3.4.1.1 on Windows. The images to be moved are TIFFs (film scans). Source and destination directory are on different volumes, i.e. the move means in reality copy and delete source. I'd appreciate any help or explanation. Best regards, Ralf M. darktable user mailing list to unsubscribe send a mail to darktable-user+unsubscr...@lists.darktable.org
[darktable-user] Building with alternate gphoto2
Howdy, I'm running DT trunk, finding tethering to be problematic with my Nikon D800 and Canon Rebel SL3. Sometimes works, sometimes disconnects randomly etc. Using Ubuntu 20.04, the gphoto2 is not current. I built the latest version downloaded from Sourceforge, installed to /opt/gphoto2, hesitant to overwrite the system version. I'm assuming there is a cmdline arg to 'build.sh' which instructs DT to use the newer library but don't know what it is. Any help appreciated.
