Re: [darktable-user] RAW Samples for Sony A6400
I see... Thank you. out of curiosity, how are the sensor noise profiles created without multiple rawfiles? [darktable-user] RAW Samples for Sony A6400
Hello Darktable! I recently acquired a new Sony A6400 camera. I am willing to contribute RAW files from this camera but I'm having a hard time figuring out what kind of files are needed on Pixels.us. There seems to be only one rawfile uploaded there and the A6400 is not listed under "raw files wanted". Can someone guide me here? Re: [darktable-user] SDXC Card not detected
My workflow (which worked on the previous cards) was as follows. Comments welcome. 1. Use Shotwell to import all media from the card onto my hard drive. I've configured Shotwell to do the renaming, file/folder hierarchy etc. I use multiple cameras, including my phone. Shotwell creates JPGs for RAWs on import, which is nice to just glance through to get some idea of what I've got. It also imports videos which is good. 2. After I import RAW files using Shotwell, I just open darktable to process and generate the JPGs. Since shotwell was unable to import from the new card, I tried to use DT for import (after watching some youtube tutotials) and realised DT doesn't see the card either. Good to know that fix is in the works. Patrick: Yes copy-import works, but it imports video thumbnails as independent images; whereas import-from-card is a little smarter and does not import the thumbnails. Other than this (very minor) annoyance it's the same. [darktable-user] SDXC Card not detected
Hello all! Recently I got a new memory card (SanDisk 64GB U3/V30), and formatted it using the camera (Sony A6000). In order to get Ubuntu 16.04 to recognize it, I had to install exfat-utils and exfat-fuse packages using the default repositories. Now nautilus is able to recognise and auto-mount the card when inserted, but darktable does not see the card; and neither does shotwell (both Shotwell and darktable work with older, slower cards I have; 16GB U1/Class 10 or slower) In disk utility, i can see that the camera has formatted it as an exfat partition with a little unused space at the beginning - I'm not sure if/why this should cause any issued. Also, the card is mounted in the usual location (/media/username/CardName/); and verified that df shows it correctly as well. Is anyone else having this issue?
