Re: [darktable-user] OpenCL questions

2019-10-10 Thread Frank Domrös

Hey,

I can provide some experience with a testsystem running manjaro and
darktable 2.6.2 with opencl activated: I have no issues and installation
is straightforward using:

https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/opencl-amd/

According to the description: "OpenCL userspace driver as provided in
the amdgpu-pro driver stack. This package is intended to work along with
the free amdgpu stack."

To install the package execute the following (I am writing this from
memory maybe you need additionally install base-devel)

pamac build opencl-amd

Good luck,

Frank

DT 2.6.2 on Manjaro

How do I install OpenCL. I have amdgpu (the open source). My hardware
doesn't qualify for rocm2. I have an FX-8350 (8-cores).

Has somebody already done it? Any good write up?

When I was searching, everything pointed to amdgpu-pro but it's for
ubuntu/debian, centos and sles not for arch/majaro

Re: [darktable-user] Profiled Denoise Changes

Hey Johannes,

I was kind of surprised when seeing your screenshot, been using
darktable for more than a year and tested especially the noise modules
BUT I cannot access that adjustment that you and David describe.

darktable 2.4.4 on ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS from:
http://ppa.launchpad.net/pmjdebruijn/darktable-release/ubuntu
Fujifilm X100S

How can I unlock(?) that feature?

Thanks,
Frank

P.S. Also want to express my gratefulness for such a high professional
open source project and the efforts the developers and the community put
into it!!
