Re: [darktable-user] Color label : selection
Thank you for your answers. Indeed I've never though to filter the color label through collection module. Thanks for the tip. In fact I used the collection module mainly for the "folders" (I mean shooting series). I was misled by the filtering on the top-panel in light table with easy selection for stars and possible sorting by color. 2017-01-04 1:01 GMT+01:00 David Vincent-Jones : > I had previously suggested that the colors, together or individually, > represent a binary count and then the sort be made on that count. I had previously suggested that the colors, together or individually, represent a binary count and then the sort be made on that count. In this manner then 'red' only would filter uniquely ahead of any other single or multiple colors. or am I wrong? David On 01/03/2017 02:09 PM, Stéphane Gourichon wrote: Hello. Similar need here. Hello. Similar need here. Sometimes I need to see all photos that have red and yellow label but no other. This typically happen when browsing photos, need to see all photos that have exact same label set (again, e.g. red and yellow but no other). (Blue sky UI: when right-clicking on photo in light table, a context menu that offers "show only images with label(s): red, yellow". Or a key shortcut.) My two cents. hi, you can't easily select all images with /just/ red colour label attached to it. you'd explicitly need to exclude the green blue etc in the collection module (left panel somewhere, see the user manual link roman posted). if you do that often it may be worth creating a preset for this. hth jo On Wed, Jan 4, 2017 at 10:17 AM, Alexandre Jullien wrote: > Hello everybody, > > Fisrt, happy new year 2017. > And thank you folks for the new 2.2.1 release already, such a good christmas > present and a reactive team is really appreciated ! > > I had one question about "color labels" use. > I think it is useful when you want to sort, by instance, a photo series by > "group of people". > I mean : I have some photos of my holidays with some friends, some family, > and general ones that I want to export differently by category. You can filer by color label in collect lib https://www.darktable.org/usermanual/ch02s03s02.html.php color label any color label that is attached to the image: “red”, “yellow”, “green”, “blue”, “purple” > My question: is it possible to select all photos of one given color in the > light table ? > (considering that you have multiple colors / at least 3 without proper order > when sorted). > > Best regards, > > Alexandre Roman. > > darktable user mailing list to unsubscribe send a mail to > darktable-user+unsubscr...@lists.darktable.org darktable user mailing list to unsubscribe send a mail to darktable-user+unsubscr...@lists.darktable.org
[darktable-user] Color label : selection
Hello everybody, Fisrt, happy new year 2017. And thank you folks for the new 2.2.1 release already, such a good christmas present and a reactive team is really appreciated ! I had one question about "color labels" use. I think it is useful when you want to sort, by instance, a photo series by "group of people". I mean : I have some photos of my holidays with some friends, some family, and general ones that I want to export differently by category. Important note: sometimes a photo is one-color labeled, but could it be with multiple color labels also, example : photo with friend and family. For information, I do use the stars to rate my photographs in terms of photo-quality / best shoots. The color labeling main use - for me - could be a way to do some batch for export (to family, to facebook for friends, etc...). For now, I have seen that you can only "sort" by label of colors. The order is okay. But when you have multiple colors for several images, you see the problem: you cannot select easily all photos with one given color simply. My question: is it possible to select all photos of one given color in the light table ? (considering that you have multiple colors / at least 3 without proper order when sorted).
