Try with Another user. And try with your session but without open apps
And open your Mac  without extensions (hold the shift key at startup)

I am teaching students to use DT and the people with Mac are experiencing a
number of crashes during the classes. The Windows version is more stable,
but I get a few  crashes on rare occasions.
