Thanks for the responses. Tried with a later git version and all went
correctly as planned. I suspect that the overworked elves made some sort
of change.

Not using Manjaro, but perhaps you can check if the required header files are
present under /usr/include. Under OpenSUse they are under /usr/include/OpenEXR
and installed from package openexr-devel

Thanks Patrick . 'openexr ' appears to be correctly in place and
'libOpenEXR' is not listed. I have rebuilt openexr but the problem persists.

I have just done a major update of my Manjaro/XFCE system including a new

darktable-git. I am getting the following error message:

Please set them or make sure they are set and tested correctly in the CMake

Can somebody advise exactly which files I appear to be missing.

guessing as no knowledge of Manjarno,
one or both packages:
libOpenEXR
openexr

I use openSUSE Tumbleweed, but perhaps following is missing
   openexr-devel

for me, libOpenEXR contains:
   /usr/lib64/libOpenEXR-3_1.so.30
   /usr/lib64/libOpenEXR-3_1.so.30.3.0
   /usr/share/licenses/libOpenEXR-3_1-30
   /usr/share/licenses/libOpenEXR-3_1-30/LICENSE.md

I also have
   libOpenEXR-3_1-30-32bit
   libOpenEXRCore-3_1-30
   libOpenEXRUtil-3_1-30
but have no idea if they are required to build
