I have the Wacom Intuos on my Ubuntu Linux laptop via the docking 
station, but rarely use it, largely due to 1) my own unfamiliarity, and 
2) lack of desk space.  Must say, though, that it does work.  Can't 
answer the question about pressure-sensitive masks since I don't use 
them (yet).

No, my wacom intuos tablet works natively with my Opensuse Leap. There 
is even a kde software to administer the wacom tablets: 
kde_wacom_tabletfinder.

systemsettings5 -> input devices -> graphic tablet

available on my openSUSE Tumbleweed Plasma5/KDE5 system

Hi,

Older Wacom Intuos on Mint 19 (Cinnamon edition) - works out of the box. I
haven't configured any side buttons on the tablet. I am using it
occasionally for drawn masks.

I do have one that I used mostly on PS on a windows machine. I’ve now 
transionned to DT on an iMac and might get back to use it soon as well. I’ll 
keep an eye on this thread should we want to share stuff, and look at that 
video Bruce will cook for us :)
