Re: [darktable-user] darktable and wacom pen tablet

2019-01-30 Thread Willy Williams
I have the Wacom Intuos on my Ubuntu Linux laptop via the docking
station, but rarely use it, largely due to 1) my own unfamiliarity, and
2) lack of desk space.  Must say, though, that it does work.  Can't
answer the question about pressure-sensitive masks since I don't use
them (yet).

I hadn't seen this one! thanks. Do you use KDE
also as your desktop environment?

Windows and Mac users already get the software

got it more complicated. There seems to be only
one CLI program (xsetwacom), which requires one

No, my wacom intuos tablet works natively with my Opensuse Leap. There
is even a kde software to administer the wacom tablets:
kde_wacom_tabletfinder.

Are there any pressure sensitive brushes that work in DT and the tablet?
The price of Huion is much cheaper than wacom.

Hi,

Older Wacom Intuos on Mint 19 (Cinnamon edition) - works out of the box. I
haven't configured any side buttons on the tablet. I am using it
occasionally for drawn masks.

Funny you should mention this.
I have a Wacom tablet, and almost never use it... And I'm running Linux.
I should cook it up, give it a bash, and then do an episode of my video
series on that topic.
Thanks for the nudge! 
