[datameet] Re: Need help with Text Analysis
Hi Megha Thanks for the great work that you and the Akshara team is doing. I would like to volunteer for the task . From what I understand is that you are trying to visualise what is the overall trend in the meeting minutes. What sentiment prevails during the meeting discussions so as to have better align the meetings agenda. To be honest I don't have much experience in this type of mining but one can always learn. Re: [datameet] Has anybody made visualizations of average city temperatures in India over the last 100 years or so ?
Hi again, @Thejesh, liked your visual appeal but then people end up going to the link to figure out how things are/were. http://thejeshgn.com/2010/08/12/i-love-blr-visualizing-bangalore-temperature/ Would it be possible for you to have that in graph formats similar to the ones shared by Sitansu Mahapatra . And if you do that, could you or do you know anybody else who has done something similar for Mysuru and Ooty as well ? I actually love Mysore and Ooty as they are a bit more milder than Bangalore. Hence am also personally curious as to whether those two cities were milder throughout the century or not ? Umm... Don't we have any data before 1904 ? Maybe 18th century as well or there simply are no records ? Also are there any temperature data of localized places, graphs of different cities similar to average temperatures shared for whole of India ? I do believe that people are more sensitised when there is such data in a visual format of places they belong to . An argument could be laid by a climate denier person, I could argue that with averages taken from all over India, it is very much possible that the upward trend maybe of some places while other places not so much. Hence it probably is a bit more imperative if we have more localized temperature data sheets. Does that make more sense ? Looking forward to know. -- Regards, Shirish Agarwal शिरीष अग्रवाल My quotes in this email licensed under CC 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/ http://flossexperiences.wordpress.com EB80 462B 08E1 A0DE A73A 2C2F 9F3D C7A4 E1C4 D2D8 -- Datameet is a community of Data Science enthusiasts in India.
