Hi Vaidya,

Datameet platform policy does not allow solicitation of business or job,
hence will discourage posting the requirement here.

I can help out if it is a critical problem at your end. Do send me an email
directly.

[datameet] Pincode boundary of NCR

2022-10-28 Thread Suvajit Sengupta
Hi Group,

I am looking for the pincode boundaries of Delhi & NCR region.
Do you have any reference for it ?

I thought it will be in our datameet repo
https://github.com/datameet/PincodeBoundary , but Delhi is missing from the
list.

Even the NIC POrtal link on http://postoffice.umd.nic.in:8080/nicutility/
is not working now.

Any cue on this ?

Suvajit

Hi Shivangi,

I second Devdatta.

If it is about data collection offline followed by sync with network
availability without much processing at server end, ODK does the job well.

We have earlier done mobile app and few reporting capabilities on top ODK.
Can share if it is useful for you.

Hi Nikhil,

It can really speed up processes for capturing Citizen feedbacks on Master

need to publish draft master plans for citizen inputs.
My learning - generating geojson/shp files using ogr2ogr tool. I was not
aware of it.

The backend part for citizen inputs is especially interesting and would
really complete the whole loop for so many such geospatial applications.
The moderation of such content is definitely a pain and something i keep
thinking about. It may be helpful just to have it hosted as a demo for the
 platform.

Hi,
I collated Ward wise 2011 Census data for Bangalore here :

Check if it is useful else you have to search in http://censusindia.gov.in/
But its 2011 data, need some extrapolation to derive population in 2019.

Re: [datameet] Transit Map design

2017-03-18 Thread Suvajit Sengupta
The ideal one will be to capture the route information in GTFS format and
then use transitive.js ( https://github.com/conveyal/transitive.js/ ) to
visualise it.

Best part of transitive is that you can couple it up with leaflet and
create dynamic route maps.

An example is shown here : http://conveyal.com/transitive.js/

Re: [datameet] Re: Ward Wise data for Bangalore - 2011 census?

2017-01-05 Thread Suvajit Sengupta
Hi,

I did the work of merging Census 2011 population data with 198 wards of
BBMP some time back.

The data ( as CSV, geoJSON & Shapefile ) is available here :
https://github.com/suvajit/opendata/tree/master/BBMP/data

 Hope it will be useful.

From the initial looks of it, they removed the static schedules
completely & there have been changes both good & bad. They seemed to have
stop-id's for all the bus stops, easier to find unique bus stops. The fares
are un-reported or only contain origin-destination fare. Will post all the
API's & scripts to download data in the next mail. I think I like the delhi
implementation better than any other so far.

BMTC is gonna have a meeting in a week, to asses the functionality &
issues to fix. Seems like the right time to send in few suggestions.

Here are few web link http://pis.bmtcits.com/bmtcbsk1, which they
 might/will be displaying in bus-stops.

Re: [datameet] Digitization of land records

2015-05-27 Thread Suvajit Sengupta
Hi ,
BHOOMI was one of the successful implementation of Land Record
digitisation in India under NLRMP for the state of Karnataka.

  The site is : http://bhoomi.karnataka.gov.in/
The site is useful and data is updated regularly. It provides Ownership,
RTC information by land parcels.
Urban property records are not available in BHOOMI.

  The drawbacks are :
  - Land record information are provided as Image or HTML ( not even PDF)
  - Land records do not have geographic/spatial information.

 Hi,

GoI has had a National Land Records Modernisation Programme (NLRMP) from
2008. NLRMP is one of the Mission Mode Programs under the National
eGovernance Plan (NeGP), much like the MMP on Income Tax, Passport etc.

The main agenda was to move to a conclusive Land Titling regime, and to
have a conuntrywide cadastre. You can find the details at
http://nlrmp.nic.in/ and at http://nlrmpportal.nic.in. NLRMP superseded
the previous programmes for computerising land records.

The project does have a component of mapping, and perhaps would have
required a new land survey to be done to map the land details accurately.
Since Land is a state subject, the onus is on the different state
governments to implement this programme, and the progress has been varied.
As far as I know, Andhra Pradesh (Bhu Bharati) was the first to come out
with their new titling law and achieve some progress in the mission.

Still, this is a significant step forward. How can this be taken further?
I'm guessing that the govt depts themselves won't have the geo-location
information for each record while having everything else. Could a platform
be built that can work with this land records data, is friendly with the
formats followed in various states (I have no clue if there is a
standardized method or what), and offers incremental adding of geo-location
information to each data item? Starting with just a lat/long, then allowing
 polygon specification?
