Thanks for you help. I was able to install DBD-DB2 1.78 . I have one question.. Is this version of DBD compatible with DB2 V 7.2 ? Alternatively, it means your network configuration is such that PPM/PPD does not work. However, it is much more likely that the module is not available. Use CPAN to obtain it.
