The seat is still (again) available. If you decide short-term, call
me after my flight arrives at 19:05 on +41.76.4717846 or just show
up at the Hertz counter before 19:30 (and wait there if we're not
there yet).

There are no free seats on the return journey. Sorry.

[Debconf-discuss] how to submit new events (bofs, workshops...)

2009-07-23 Thread Ana Guerrero

Hi,

If you want to submit a new event and schedule it (mostly to get a room/space
assigned), you have to:
- file it in penta
- send a mail to sched...@debconf.org with your prefered time slot.

We'll do our best in scheduling it, and please, include the event id number.

At first glance, I'd say "probably not". I'm slightly worried about
the amount of cheese we currently have. As the wiki page says, nothing
in the event is very deeply prepared, so anything can
happen...including not having that many cheese.

So, I'd advise to be prepared for any kind of conditions,
includinga certain lack of cheese!

Do we actually have enough cheese to be able to actually replace dinner
for a large amount of people?

I personally don't see a reason to put my name on the list: I intend to
have dinner, so that I turn up in the mood of sampling little bits, not
of getting a meal.

If we end up having some cheese left, surely we can put it the following
day on the tables near the hacklabs.

Ciao,

It should be possible to see even from within the city... the ISS is
fairly bright in the night sky on passes shortly after local sunset.

I forget where the Iridium flare predictor is, but that's another cool
thing to watch for in the evening sky.

[Debconf-discuss] [MERCHANDISE] Various FSFE and OpenPGP stuff on sale

Hi there!

At DebConf8 I brought some FSFE merchandise and OpenPGP stuff:

  http://lists.debconf.org/lurker/message/20080812.211257.54e21495.en.html

This year I brought again similar stuff, more precisely:

- 3 FSFE keychains and pins

- 1 SCM SCR335 reader and 5 OpenPGP smartcards, version 1.0

http://lists.debconf.org/lurker/message/20090623.191843.8767045f.en.html

If anyone is interested, please contact me: I hang around with a Debian
kilt and have a cluster of Openmoko smartphones...

Thx, bye,

[Debconf-discuss] [MERCHANDISE] Various t-Shirts and foilstickers from debian.ch

2009-07-23 Thread Luca Capello
Hi there!

debian.ch produces some Debian merchandise as you can see at:

  http://debian.ch/merchandise/

Around 40 `apt-get install T-Shirts` and 16 debian.ch ones are on sale
at the Front Desk here in Cáceres:

  http://debconf9.debconf.org/venue.xhtml

Prices are 15EUR for each T-Shirt (independently of the model and size)
and 1.5EUR, 3EUR or 7EUR for the small, medium and big foilstickers,
respectively.

Obviously, the extra money will be either donated back to Debian or used
for Debian-related activity in Switzerland and in the Principality of
Liechtenstein.

Thx, bye,
Gismo / Luca

I expect many of us will skip dinner altogether, or at least have a
very light one, in order not to spoil the party to ourselves. We are
quite close already to the party, but I hope we can ask the caterers
to prepare less food than usual so it does not get wasted. Please add

[Debconf-discuss] Help wanted: SCM plugins for FusionForge

2009-07-23 Thread Roland Mas
Hi all,

Debcamp is almost over, and I'm pleased to say I'm almost done with
the code refactoring in the CVS and Subversion plugins of
FusionForge. That now opens the way for easy implementation of
plugins for other SCM tools, since only the tool-specific part needs
to be coded.

Since I don't know all of these newfangled tools, I'd like to take
the opportunity of using this new "real-life interaction" technology
Holger mentioned. If you could spare some of your time to come and
see me, explain how your tool of choice works and how best to
integrate it into a forge. Not much: repository creation, gathering
of basic commit stats on an existing repo, and configuring a repo
browser.

I usually hang aroud hacklab #1, but if I'm not on IRC feel free to
come and rescue me from alcoholism in the park or from going mad at a
Mao game.

Roland.

For those traveling via Madrid Atocha station, there's a The Phone House

we'll assume this is the case if you receive this email at some point before
