When Holger announced the possible MiniDebconf in Hamburg around April/May, people here in Brazil were concerned about the MiniDebconf we want to hold in Curitiba in March, even though the two cities are 10,000 km apart! :-) That IMO is the wrong attitude, as long as there are people with motivation and time to organize, there should be a MiniDebconf or any other Debian event every week somewhere in the world. signature.asc Description: PGP signature ___ Debconf-discuss mailing list Debconf-discuss@lists.debconf.org http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-discuss

Hi, I think I lost an OPUS card earlier today, which I only noticed when already at the Metro station when leaving. I should have probably lost it at the tables on the left side of Rex, when I left after the "Installing Debian BoF" (17:00-17:45). signature.asc Description: PGP signature ___ Debconf-discuss mailing list Debconf-discuss@lists.debconf.org http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-discuss

[Debconf-discuss] trouble uploading PDFs for Canada visa?
Hello, I am trying to upload the required documents in the Canadian visa process, but their application won't accept any PDF file saying it is "not a valid PDF file". I double-checked every file and they _are_ valid PDFs, I even tried creating a very simple PDF from LibreOffice, but that was also rejected. So, something in their system is broken. Then, I tried the upload using Chromium instead of Firefox, and it worked. I'm not sure what exactly is broken, must be something javascript-related. So, there you have it: if you also have issues with invalid PDF files on Firefox and you are sure the PDFs are not invalid, you can try using Chromium to do the uploads. signature.asc Description: PGP signature ___ Debconf-discuss mailing list Debconf-discuss@lists.debconf.org http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-discuss

[Debconf-discuss] pristine-tar BoF!
At least two people have demonstrated insterest, so we are having a pristine-tar BoF Friday at 16:10, in Menzies 13. There is also the "GBP skills exchange" BoF Thursday 17:15 in Menzies 12, which is related. I am already committed to another activity in that time slot, but if you are interested in pristine-tar and can't make it to the pristine-tar BoF on Friday, talk to Guido during the GBP BoF on Thursday. :) -- Antonio Terceiro signature.asc Description: PGP signature ___ Debconf-discuss mailing list Debconf-discuss@lists.debconf.org http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-discuss
[Debconf-discuss] pristine-tar BoF?
I recently adopted pristine-tar, because it has been orphaned for a while and it is a critical piece of infrastructure for several teams and individuals. I am not completely familiar with its internals yet, and would love to get more people onboard, among other reasons, to not have me being a single point of failure. [Debconf-discuss] slides an git annex
Hi, I tried uploading my slides using git annex, and even though I followed the steps in README very closely, they never showep up on http://annex.debconf.org/debconf-share/debconf15/slides/ Looking at the git repository, it seems other people had the same issue, so there are slides in the git repo that are not published yet. Is this just waiting someone with the correct access to do something, or did I and others missed some step? What I did, according to the README, was git annex add $file_or_directory git commit git annex copy --auto --to incoming git annex sync I am sorry but I don't have the terminal output anymore, but there were no error messages, and AFAICT it seems to have worked. $ git remote -v incomingssh://git.debian.org/git/collab-maint/debconf-share (fetch) incomingssh://git.debian.org/git/collab-maint/debconf-share (push) origin git+ssh://git.debian.org/git/collab-maint/debconf-share.git (fetch) origin git+ssh://git.debian.org/git/collab-maint/debconf-share.git (push) website http://annex.debconf.org/debconf-share/.git/ (fetch) website http://annex.debconf.org/debconf-share/.git/ (push) -- Antonio Terceiro signature.asc Description: Digital signature ___ Debconf-discuss mailing list Debconf-discuss@lists.debconf.org http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-discuss
