oh, have fun with that! ;-) I looked at building it under Stretch a month ago
but Stretch was way too outdated regarding the node/npm ecosystem…

That's also mostly why I was asking for alternative clients…

(also because the UI is more a phone UI than a linux desktop UI and I also
have some privacy concerns about some features…)

I am interested in what privacy concerns as I don't want to provide an
app that is invasive in privacy field (we have already full of those in
world)...

Purism plans to package it directly into Debian (the Riot app) and I use
it on my Android phone - it is pretty much great experience. Easy to
join, and audio/video calls work out of the box (our CEO used desktop
client to video call me on my phone and it worked without issues).

[Debconf-discuss] Librem laptop and tablet prototypes

2016-07-05 Thread Zlatan Todoric
Hello all,

few Librem laptops and tablet prototypes arrived and we will do
installations in one of hacklabs (probably Happy feet one). All
interested can participate and for doing that bring your USB sticks with
Debian main on them (preferably during installation you go with GNOME as
that is the primary interested here to test in general but feel free to
play with it how you desire).

Side note, please do not take pictures of devices as they are prototypes
and one new laptop prototype them may never see the "light"). Also you
are allowed to open them from to look inside (as anyway most of the
screws from prototypes are cheap so they got easily broken or just fell
out at some point). Do not do anything by sheer force.

We will be soon in hacklabs.

UCT Pub, live streaming at 9pm and as Icelander fan I asked for *much*
better audio than usual - we will get some great atmosphere tomorrow.

Go Vikings (or something like that)

If not already, this video should be on official Debian archives and

BTW, thanks you Valessio a lot for the video, I hardly managed not to
