Thanks, I'm using these docs to follow.

Do you know how the camera will connect to the voctomix box?

It's Sony HMC 2000.
The only camcorder I could find to rent here.

In your list of equipment, I don't see a Black Magic hdmi/sdi capture
card. You will need some way to stream AV data from the camera into
the voctomix box. USB is possible, but will take some fiddling with
the config.

Yes, I will have to use a converter hdmi-usb because I don't have the
hdmi/sdi capture card.

BTW, I found here in Belo Horizonte a factory of this kind of equipament

To help us plan ahead, we have two questions we'd like you to answer:

1. How many concurrent tracks should we plan for?

DC20 had a single official track and an ad-hoc one. That seemed to work
well, but you might have more ambitious plans for DC21.

We (from Brazil) intend to propose a portuguese track and for week days
the best is schedule talks from 22PM to 01AM UTC (19PM to 22PM
localtime) because the audience will watch them after work.

I'm not sure if there will be english talks on the same time.

2. When is DC21 going to be?

On the last meeting it was decided:
August 22 to 29.
The same on the DC21 website.

Hi all,

Fist all, thanks for your help to provide the mdco-br video infra. I'm
sure we will have a great event :-)

I read the meeting log from yesterday (18), so I'm writing some questions.

1) We are usinh this repo:
https://salsa.debian.org/debconf-team/public/mini/mdcobr

2) We (br-team) need to send to highvoltage images with sponsors logo +
general logos.
Can we send the images with 16:9 / 1280x720 in svg files?

3) After MDCO2-Games you will change config files to setup everything
for mdcobr2020.debian.net right?

4) We will have 2 pre-recorded talks, and the files will be available on
monday. How can the speakers (or us) send to you?

5) We don't have a call for volunteers yet. I think it will be better we
do a training session next week in portuguese with them.

6) The event will start at 12:30 UTC (9:30 Brazil timezone).
We can join before at 11:30 to test everything with you?

7) I saw: "mdco.br has been imported into sreview".
just to know, what this mean?

This is completely understandable.
I know people have been gave up to talk because they were worried about
what other people will say later. I believe we should always welcome
people don't want their talks be recorded and available later.

DebConf19 video/sound/network update

2019-07-02 Thread Paulo Henrique de Lima Santana
Hi all,

Last week we signed the contract with computers rent supplier.
Today they send us the bill to pay. So, everything is ok with that.
https://salsa.debian.org/debconf-team/public/data/dc19/issues/84#note_93276

This week (probably thursday) we will sign the contract with audio
equipments rent supplier, and pay them.
https://salsa.debian.org/debconf-team/public/data/dc19/issues/86#note_93277

Today the company passed the fiber through the hole on the ground
conecting videoconferencia room to the miniauditório, to solve the issue
related "campus network x reitoria network".
They will finish the job on 15th because one piece of the cable will be
visible entering by a window during the Conference. So, we prefer don't
do it now.

I already have with me all cables requested for audio and video.

I need to buy an ethernet cable box yet.

At the venue, some days ago the professor who is helping us opened a
request for network staff creates a SSID for the Conference, and setup
wireless and wired network. We are waiting 15th to test.

At the hotel, the uplink is already working. We will have a swicth
gigabit and APs exclusive for our hacklabs.
https://salsa.debian.org/debconf-team/public/share/debconf19/tree/master/photos/organization/hotel-nacional/hotel-nacional-13floor-hackspace-big

We are waiting the new projector arrives, install it, and venue staff
pass ethernet cables from the projector to the stage for HDMI works.

Today auditorium staff told me today they need pass ethernet cables in
miniauditorium too, because HDMI cable is not very good there. They are
using two old HMDI cables.

Probably we will need HDMI/Ethernet converter/extensor. I will ask in
the video team channel about that.

I think that is all for now.

Ok. I got this part you wrote before about 2 handheld wireless mics and
2 headset.

My question is: do you want 1 receiver with only 1 microphone [1], or we
can rent 1 receiver with 2 microphones [2]?

Video team has a box with 4 microphones (2 of each), right?
Are you considering 6 of each because you are planning leave 2 of each
for backup?

Venue staff told me they have 2 hand-held microphone, if we need backup too.

> #H11 Sound Mixer

is this for video-conferencia room?

Also, I was looking the miniauditorium ceiling and there is no place
where hanging the audience microphone.
I think in video-conferencia too.

Do we need some equipament solve this?

Nice. Your problem today is have a solution like to use OPSIS hardware to get
the image from the speaker's notebook.
We are talking with the staff from TV at University to help us with cameras,
server, and other equipaments. They have used a solution with OBS Studio +
Nginx.
