Please don't close bugs with this reasoning, it may be a corner case
where this bug is about (e.g. specific hardware, or user options). If
you are concerned about having to much bugs open without being able to
act upon them, then I suggest instead we request more info (and tag the
bug as "moreinfo" and/or "unreproducible") from the submitter and ask if
the bug still happens on the Debian version you are interested in. If no
response appears than we can close after a reasonable amount of time
(e.g. 3 months) because then there is nothing actionable.

You're correct. The last response on the thread receive no answer from
the reporter after two years. I have to be more precise on my close
message for the future.

Best regards.

Bug#706544: gnome-orca: No more braille output after restarting orca

2015-03-02 Thread MENGUAL Jean-Philippe

Hi,

Can you check the braille is enabled in your Preferences dialog? Then,
can you open a terminal in your graphical session, exit orca, run: orca
--debug ?

Then, exit again and run your screen reader as usual.
Send us the .out file which should be generated.

Thanks,

Regards,

Bug#706544: gnome-orca: No more braille output after restarting orca

2014-04-25 Thread Sebastian Humenda
Hello,

When i run orca for the first time - after login - speech and braille both
work fine. After restarting orca i have no more braille output anymore.
I quitted orca by pressing Insert + Q and restarted it by pressing Alt + F2,
typing in orca and pressing enter.
I have tried so on a Debian 7.4 and cannot reproduce this issue. Since you have
experienced this behavior before the release of Wheezy, please try to reproduce
the problem on a up-to-date Debian 7.x.

Which GNOME session did you use and did you run startx or did you log in using a
log-in manager?

Sebastian
