Hi, I've been trawling thw web (spare time) for a linux driver and linux
software

for e2800+ smartphone for ages. I think it IS out there.
Can anyone point me to it?

I too now own an e2800+ to compliment my Sharp Zaurus SL=760
Which also runs embedix Troltech's Qtopia.

Both units are a debin based distro.

Have you had any luck with the e2800+.. ?

I am looking for a Terminal app or some way to SSH into the phone
while connected via the PC cable or GPRS any ideas.

Hope you can help

Andre'

I can print from firefox and other gnomelike applications.

Does anyone have the same problem of anyone knows how to fix it?

Sorry Rob
I have had the same problem but I have not mentioned it (didn't have time).
You can switch to lpr instead of cups in the kdeprint window and that worked
for me.

Hope it helps

Thnx, that is indeed a solution until KDE gets compatible with cups again.
I can print again, it was pretty iritating :)

I had problems with printing that started a couple of weeks ago. I purged cups
from my system and reinstalled/reconfigured it. Now everything works again.
Could it be that there is some configuration stuff that is not compatible?

I observed the same problem after a CUPS upgrade on my system. I also
observed that /dev/lp0 was no longer present. Changing the print system
(it might also have been my messing with my printer's interface type)
caused lp0 to be recreated, it would seem. I switched back to CUPS and
currently have no problems printing, from anywhere.

Re: Cups and KDE

2006-07-04 Thread Rob van Kraanen
There is a bugreport in KDE for this problem
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129707
i thought it was this one.
At least it seams to have the same symptoms as i had with my cups and KDE
