README on woody CD not updated?

2002-07-27 Thread Drew Parsons

Hi,

I've just created the woody install CDs using jigdo on the files from
http://non-us.cdimage.debian.org/jigdo-area/current/jigdo/i386 (the Europe
link from http://www.debian.org/CD/jigdo-cd/ for the official files).

The README.txt and README.html have not been updated for the final release.
They carry this very disconcerting message:

Last-Minute Notes
=

 * You should keep in mind that this is an unofficial CD of the
current development version of the Debian system. This means that
all sorts of bugs may be present anywhere in the system.

Similarly just above that the README file says:

Upgrading
=
...
At this moment, woody-specific upgrade procedures are not yet
available. In the mean time, use the potato procedures, available on
your local Debian mirror in the
   /debian/dists/potato/main/upgrade-i386/ directory.

That's no longer true is it? The woody upgrade notes are now ready aren't
they?

Have the README files slipped through the system at the last moment?

Drew

p.s. please CC me, I'm not subscribed to this list.

There are far too few no's in the last column..

This assumes that changelogs are being kept up to date, of which I am
not sure. And the cdebconf reorganization is holding a lot of stuff up.

We need to try to do better at building and uploading d-i packages after
modifying them. Getting them autobuilt on as many architectures as
possible and finding porting bugs and making them available to all who
are building d-i images are important and it won't happen unless they're
in the archive. Can we try to do a bit better in this area?

I think this should just be a recommends. You can legitimately use
mklibs to reduce other libraries than libc.

Familia cubana en peligro de ser deportada

2002-07-27 Thread Vicenza, Italia:

Vicenza, Italia: ¡Mensaje humanitario
urgente!

particular, Amnistía Internacional, Human Rights Watch y Reporteros Sin
Pablo Alfonso; a las radios Mambí, La Cubanísima y Martí, también de la Florida;

Partido Pro Derechos Humanos. Perseguido, hostigado y vigilado constantemente,
