tzsetup override disparity
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the override file for the following file(s): tzsetup-udeb_0.26_all.udeb: package says priority is optional, override says standard. Please note that a list of new sections were recently added to the archive: cli-mono, database, debug, fonts, gnu-r, gnustep, haskell, httpd, java, kernel, lisp, localization, ocaml, php, ruby, vcs, video, xfce, zope. At this time a script was used to reclassify packages into these sections. If this is the case, please only reply to this email if the new section is inappropriate, otherwise please update your package at the next upload. Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the override is incorrect then please reply to this mail and explain why. Please INCLUDE the list of packages as seen above, or we won't be able to deal with your mail due to missing information. The purpose of debootstrap is to set up a *base* system, not to support installing any random package. php does not qualify as a base package and thus a failure to install it is no reason to modify debootstrap. Also, the failure is almost certainly not due to a problem in debootstrap, but due to some weirdness in the php package, or in any of its dependencies. As installing php is far outside the normal usage of debootstrap, I'm closing your bug report. You'll just have to install php *after* completing debootstrap (which is better anyway for most packages as it allows you to answer any configuration questions they might have). Bug#539616: Deboostrap failed always for sid

I haven't done this today, though..:-) While I'm at it, I also slowly process other lists, starting from those that have few reported spams. Each week, I add one list to those I review. I currently reached the lists that have about 80 reported spams. I also still continue reviewing old years. I'm left with 11/1998 to 05/2000 to do. signature.asc Description: Digital signature
Bug#539616: debootstrap failed if we include php5
On Sun, Aug 02, 2009 at 02:33:38PM +0200, Frans Pop wrote: On Sunday 02 August 2009, hina wrote: I really need a correct version of a debian, etch or lenny or sid, but one which can work with php5 and apache2, for my xen machines. Cheers, FJP I tried to install with debootstrap my virtual machine, as etch. It s done, and just after that, I checked why ssh doesn't work : # apt-get install ssh Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that the package is simply not installable and a bug report against that package should be filed. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: ssh: Depends: openssh-client but it is not going to be installed Depends: openssh-server but it is not going to be installed E: Broken packages COuldnt' be install.. openssh-server: Depends: libkrb53 (= 1.4.2) but it is not going to be installed Depends: openssh-client (= 1:4.3p2-9etch3) but it is not going to be installed Can you help me ? On Sunday 02 August 2009, hina wrote: Can you help me ? Im searching for 10 days, to find one way to have a virtual with debian, and SSH ... Many thanks for your help You should really ask such questions on the debian-user mailing list. This has nothing to do with debootstrap and is probably not even an error... ssh is not a real package. Try installing openssh-client and/or openssh-server directly. Also, you are probably better of just running 'aptitude' and using its user interface to select packages to install. I'm sorry, but I will not reply to any further questions in this bug report. It's simply not the correct way to ask for help with fairly basic problems. Please try the debian-user mailing list instead. Good luck with your installation. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-boot-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble?
