yeah, I wondered the same. I don't actually know when ftp-master gets
rid of oldstable on the mirrors. If we'd know that it's still around
for a few months I'd say o-p-u. The old suites used to stay on
security-master for ages, but AFAICS that's no longer the case
neither.

Maybe the final announcement should point people at archive already
(it could already get synced there at that point, given that it won't
change anymore).

Kind regards
Philipp Kern

Kernel Panic: SPARC T2000

2012-02-25 Thread Denny Schierz
hi,

I try to get a Sun enterprise T2000 to be installed, but the (latest)
(Squeeze) installer fails while detecting hardware or something else (after
choosing mirror):

  ┌┤ Loading additional components ├┐

Any suggestions?

udev [993] bind failed

2012-02-25 Thread Fazliddin Jurayev
Hi, I have been using Debian Squeeze (6.0.0) for 8 months without any bug. But
now I have a boot error:

--
udevd [993]: bind failed: Address already in use

udevd [993]: error binding control socket, seems udevd is already running
--

With this warning system boots and when GUI is loaded neither mouse, nor
keyboard works.
if I enter to the recovery mode and start STARTX command then GUI loads and
everything works.

Please help me,
