What to do with d-i on armel?
Hi With Linux 6.6 we dropped the Marvell specific kernel image, as it was not known to work on any of the available devices. We still have another armel kernel left, the one of the Raspberry Pi 0 and 1, which uses an ARMv6 CPU. This also removed all the udebs from armel, which makes many d-i components not longer have fullfiled dependencies and the release stuff of course acting up. Do we have any armel subarch that can be installed via d-i? Bastian -- Without freedom of choice there is no creativity. -- Kirk, "The return of the Archons", stardate 3157.4

Could it be udev? Would there be a way to disable that? Samuel

Bug#1060220: rootskel: Can't stick to pure vga textmode any more
Source: rootskel Version: 1.136 Severity: important Tags: a11y Hello, https://www.debian.org/releases/stable/i386/ch05s02.en.html#idm1171 documents a way to keep the pure vga text mode, but this doesn't seem to be working any more: vga=normal fb=false doesn't seem to be effective any more, vga=normal does indeed keep the textmode vga, but then even with fb=false the fbcon still gets triggered. I tried to manually set TERM_TYPE=dumb with the same result. Any idea what nowadays could be triggering the fbcon?
