I believe that they are stored in /var/lib/cdebconf/questions.dat,
and you must finish the current item selection and go to the main
menu so that these values are updated.

In both cases (before/after) the values are set to 'el', so there is
no such problem.
it probably is the same error that joeyh mentioned (that is main menu
crashing).

Btw, I also encounter some improper display of unicode characters, the
following characters do not display:
greek capital iota with accent 0x038A
greek capital ypsilon 0x03A5
greek capital chi 0x03A7

I checked unifont with jfbterm and the characters appear fine, so
something else must be happening.

Thanks for your work on this ISO.
I met some problems when using this iso to verify the translation.

1. It lack many chinese characters. This is similar with the beta2's bug that
reported by Tomohiro KUBOTA. please look the First Stage on
http://www.debian.or.jp/~kubota/mojibake/d-i.html. One of my screenshots is
   http://freedn.dhis.org/error2.jpg

2. After I select the mirror server (before this, all selections are default,
just press ENTER), the program generate an error about vesafb
(http://freedn.dhis.org/error3.jpg), and rerun choose-mirror again with
english interface. Then, all rest parts are in english. The last chinese
interface page I can see is http://freedn.dhis.org/dotdot.jpg

This is precisely the same behaviour when I chose greek. When an error
occurs the language falls back to english. Is this a setting that can
be deactivated?

This almost sounds like bterm is crashing, and not being reloaded.
It certianly sounds like main-menu crashes at this point.

20040121 CVS snapshot ISO image for i386 available

2004-01-21 Thread Christian Perrier
I finally managed to build an ISO image with the following:

-All d-i+base-config modules recompiled from a CVS snapshot taken on 20040121 at
 5:00am
-All other base system packages from sarge daily businesscard ISO
-languagechooser_ng

This image is available at
http://people.debian.org/~bubulle/d-i_CVS-20040121+sarge-20040120_businesscard_i386.iso

It will for instance allow looking at Anton's partman stuff
