Bug#517369: installation-report: Wrong 30_otheros configuration file for grub2

2009-02-28 Thread Otavio Salvador
reassign 517369 grub-common
thanks

Andrea Brenci andrea.bre...@libero.it writes:

The partition number used for the command set root=(hd0, x) in
30_otheros file complies with the old grub configuration (starting
from 0) but the grub2 configuration requires starting from 1, so I had
to change all the entries in that file with x+1.

It looks to be a issue with grub-probe; hence I reassined the bug to
grub-common that is the one responsable by providing it.

However one thing that is not clear from your report is if you've
installed using grub2 directly or did it later after end of
install. Please clarify.

Comments/Problems:

The partition number used for the command set root=(hd0, x) in 30_otheros
file complies with the old grub configuration (starting
from 0) but the grub2 configuration requires starting from 1, so I had to
change all the entries in that file with x+1.

Cheers,
Andrea
