 E: Couldn't find package debootstrap

I guess no powerpc porters have ported that yet.

I have a powerpc now, I'll take a look at this. If someone else
could, that would be better...

I've uploaded debootstrap for powerpc.

Even tested it! Seems to work fine.

boot-floppy-hfs.img is one of the set of installation disks, the lastest
potato version can be found at the following:

http://http.us.debian.org/debian/dists/potato/main/disks-powerpc/current/powermac/images-1.44/

The current CVS boot-floppies are woody and are not yet ready for
primetime. In the long run you will probably want to create a
subarchitecture for powerpc, the current ones include apus, prep,
chrp, and pmac (power mac).

You don't get boot-floppy-hfs.img until you've made it all the way through
the build (make check; make release). It is an miboot-based floppy, so
that's probably why it's crashing. miboot doesn't support nubus.

In particular, look in powerpc-specials/miBoot/mkboot.sh to see how
boot-floppy-hfs.img is built.

miboot is from http://penguinppc.org/~benh/.

Happy Trails!

This idea probably should be communicated to the nubus-pmac people..

Just the kind of message I was hoping for - thanks a lot. I'll play around with the
source tree tomorrow and keep the list posted with arising problems ;)
