Updates to the home page
When the time will come, the D-I home page (http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer) will need changes to reflect the publication of RC2. Please find the proposed changes and the new page attached to this mail. This is basically s/RC1/RC2, that's all. Debian Installer home page, TODO link broken
Hello. I was not quite sure who should I notify about this, so I am posting it here. The TODO link at the Debian Installer home page at http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/ seems to be broken. I get the following error: -clip- Error Error: Unexpected output from cvs co: cvs [checkout aborted]: Absolute module reference invalid: `/debian-installer/doc/TODO' Check whether the directory /var/lib/gforge/chroot/cvsroot/d-i/CVSROOT exists and the script has write-access to the CVSROOT/history file if it exists. The script needs to place lock files in the directory the file is in as well. Re: gtk frontend home page
[Sebastian Ley] Any chance you can keep a copy of it in CVS, debian-installer/doc/html/? I have no account, so anyone feel free to download and put it under cvs. How do we keep it up to date? We need to decide which version is the master, and which is the copy. That goes for all the pages available from URL:http://people.debian.org/~pere/debian-installer/. How many of the d-i developers are missing CVS write access to d-i? -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

gtk frontend home page
Hello all. Sebastian Ley has put together this awesome page about the status of the gtk-frontend. http://www.mmweg.rwth-aachen.de/~sebastian.ley/d-i/ This explains the current plan we're using, the current state of the involved udebs, and provides a brief description of how to make library udebs. Any corrections are greatly appreciated. thanks Sebastian! this is tremendously useful! -- michael cardenas | lead software engineer, lindows.com hyperpoem.net | GNU/Linux software developer people.debian.org/~mbc | encrypted email preferred There is no reality except the one contained within us. Yes (say's the non-DD with little cvs experience) Maybe something along the lines of what is done at http://www.devel.lyx.org/cvs.php3 or even just the guts of that document with a link to more detailed info. Also, is there any good place on www.debian.org to place a link to your page so that more people can find it? I think announcing on -user and -devel would also be appropriate. - Bruce -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
a simple d-i home page
I finally found the 5 minutes to do this. http://people.debian.org/~mbc/di.html It points to cvs, the mailing list, the status, the todo list, and the alpha goals. If you have any other suggestions for things to go there, let me know and I'll add them. Also, should I put more specific cvs instructions? Or should dd's just know how to get the source? michael -- michael cardenas | lead software engineer, lindows.com hyperpoem.net | GNU/Linux software developer people.debian.org/~mbc | encrypted email preferred Between thought and expression lies a lifetime. - Lou Reed msg23728/pgp0.pgp Description: PGP signature
