Updates to the home page

2008-12-14 Thread Christian Perrier
When the time will come, the D-I home page
(http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer) will need changes to
reflect the publication of RC2.

Please find the proposed changes and the new page attached to this
mail.

This is basically s/RC1/RC2, that's all.

Please comment about possible additions, removals, etc.

Debian Installer home page, TODO link broken

2004-02-04 Thread Johannes Lehtinen
Hello.

I was not quite sure who should I notify about this, so I am posting it
here. The TODO link at the Debian Installer home page at

  http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/

seems to be broken. I get the following error:

-clip-
Error

Error: Unexpected output from cvs co: cvs [checkout aborted]: Absolute
module reference invalid: `/debian-installer/doc/TODO'

Check whether the directory /var/lib/gforge/chroot/cvsroot/d-i/CVSROOT
exists and the script has write-access to the CVSROOT/history file if it
exists. The script needs to place lock files in the directory the file
is in as well.

You are probably using apache for your home page, just replace the default
index.html by one written by you and you will get rid of us...

[ I'm assuming you know what apache and index.html means, which
perhaps it's assuming too much. In doubt, ask your system admin ].

We seem to have lost all our copies of the viral form of debian-installer.
Could you please send us a copy so we can include it in beta 2 and on the
next Microsoft Windows gold master CD? TIA!

Any chance you can keep a copy of it in CVS, debian-installer/doc/html/?

I have no account, so anyone feel free to download and put it under
 cvs.

How do we keep it up to date? We need to decide which version is the
master, and which is the copy. That goes for all the pages available
from URL:http://people.debian.org/~pere/debian-installer/. How many
of the d-i developers are missing CVS write access to d-i?

I now have pserver access to the cvs tree. All updates will also be
commited to cvs.

gtk frontend home page

2003-03-03 Thread Cardenas
Hello all.

Sebastian Ley has put together this awesome page about the status of
the gtk-frontend. http://www.mmweg.rwth-aachen.de/~sebastian.ley/d-i/

This explains the current plan we're using, the current state of the
involved udebs, and provides a brief description of how to make
library udebs.

Any corrections are greatly appreciated.

thanks Sebastian! this is tremendously useful!

There is no reality except the one contained within us. That is why
so many people live such an unreal life. They take the images outside
of them for reality and never allow the world within to assert
itself.

Put more specific instructions. Non-DD's without cvs experience may
benefit from this, and thus so might d-i...

Yes (say's the non-DD with little cvs experience)

Maybe something along the lines of what is done at
http://www.devel.lyx.org/cvs.php3
or even just the guts of that document with a link to more detailed
info.

Also, is there any good place on www.debian.org to place a link to your
page so that more people can find it?

I think announcing on -user and -devel would also be appropriate.

a simple d-i home page

2002-11-21 Thread Michael Cardenas
I finally found the 5 minutes to do this.

http://people.debian.org/~mbc/di.html

It points to cvs, the mailing list, the status, the todo list, and the
alpha goals.

If you have any other suggestions for things to go there, let me know
and I'll add them.

Also, should I put more specific cvs instructions? Or should dd's just
know how to get the source?
