Re: installation fails with acl/bzcat dependency error
I see that bug ,may be fixed. Is there a way to build netboot.tar.gz file by hand? Perhaps it will take some time to get updates to be uploaded to FTP. http://ftp.nl.debian.org/debian/dists/testing/main/installer-amd64/current/images/netboot/ Tried to rebuild initrd.gz, but probably messed up... You have to wait until acl reaches testing. It's fetched from the network, and not included in the initramfs. Mraw, KiBi. signature.asc Description: Digital signature

Control: block -1 by 759367 This issue is also reported as bug #759367 (acl: use default compression for binary packages) and bug #751633 (acl: Please use xz compresson for deb, bzip2 is deprecated), and is related to the old bug #633782 (libacl1: must not use bzip2 compression). I ran into this issue when trying to install Debian Edu Jessie today. :) -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsen -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-boot-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. I've checked with ftpmasters that no priority change happened in this area lately. It seems it's rather due to the fact acl is still using bz2 (for legacy reasons apparently; it wasn't switched to xz). Ansgar should be dealing with this soon (filing a bug etc.).
