New parasite screen when using LVM
Today, I was justy running a quick test of a standard D-I runbut, for once, I changed from the dafault partitioning scheme to LVMand the target suite to unstable instead of testing And here is what I suddenly got in the middle of my install (screenshot attached). Please note that this screen is in English while the install was done in French, so: -it does not come from D-I -it is not translatable in the package it belongs to as, IIRC, French translation is complete for debconf stuff in unstable, except for packages I'm very well aware about Any idea of where this debconf screen comes from? I suspect something from the kernel packages... -- attachment: di-lvm.png signature.asc Description: Digital signature

pkgsel/install-recommends confusing
I just noticed the following change: +pkgsel (0.25) UNRELEASED; urgency=low + + * Merge from Ubuntu: +- Allow preseeding pkgsel/install-recommends to install what the + packages on pkgsel/include Recommend, defaulting to false (Timo + Aaltonen, LP: #315363). IMO pkgsel/install-recommends is misleading as it suggests that recommends will be honored for *any* package installed during pkgsel, which from the changelog description is not the case. Also, I cannot remember seeing a change for the manual documenting this new preseeding option. Template: partman/exception_handler That template has been there since forever. Errors are from libparted. Ah, right. That explains why grep informing gave me nothing and why I was suspecting that messages come from outside D-I. That at least was true..:-) The assumption about kernel packages was stupid, of course. At that step of the install, there is no chance that a debconf screen comes from anything else than a udeb package, so 95% chances that the debconf template is in D-I. The confusing part is that the message itself is not in a D-I package. signature.asc Description: Digital signature
