Bug#497139: doc-base's trigger seems to sometimes reindex the entire cache

2008-08-30 Thread Andrew Vaughan
Package: doc-base
Version: 0.8.16
Severity: important

Hi

I'm not sure why, but sometimes doc-base seems to cause dhelp to reindex the
entire cache.
This means a simple daily upgrade sometimes takes 2+ hours on my Pentium 4
desktop. (I'm not
sure which package is to blame, this could easily be a bug in dhelp or a
debhelper script).

Hi,

Adding python-all-dev and python-all to Build-Depends seen to help and
the package is not longer FTBFS with the same error, but then the
package still FTBFS with:

 org.apache.lucene.queryParser.ParseException --python lucene --mapping

 java.util.Properties

So, the patch from this bug is trivial, but this still produces FTBFS
with this package, and this means that #497131 need to be solved first.

testing this with the proposal action at #497131 solve this and then
pylucene build fine.

Cheers.

Bug#494031: Non-deterministic build failures

2008-08-30 Thread Jurij Smakov
Hi,

I've now tried to build paraview 5 times with the proposed patch on
sparc. 2 times package build succeeded, 3 other times it failed with
different errors in different places. At this point I have no idea
what makes the build non-deterministic. I don't think it's hardware
issue, because I did not see any problems while building other
packages.

Cheers.

Is there any particular reason why your package needs to deviate from
which mta is pulled in by default?

The package is meant for use for disconnected sites, which do not need
a full MTA, so I set it to recommend the simplest I could find (I used
to use it everywhere when I was on dial-up).

If that causes problems, I can of course change it.

Bug#497116: xorg: random crashes on shutdown

Sten Heinze wrote:
 Package: xorg

 Justification: causes data loss

No.

xorg crashes randomly on shutdown, i.e. after the desktop environment
shut down (closing programs and playing shutdown sound). The screen does
not return to the normal console (tty1) but stays black instead and
freezes the system (only switching off helps). This happened for me both
with KDE 3 and 4 (each using the latest versions available in Debian).

Unfortunately no information about the crash is recorded in the log
files, and I did not find a clearly reproducable pattern. It usually
happens once a day, although I start/shutdown the system only about 2-4
times a day. This is extremely annoying, in particular when losing data
after working on it all day.

You said the crash occurs on shutdown. Which data can you loose at this
point?

I am using Thinkpad X40 with an integrated Intel 855GM graphics
 controller.

Please tell me if and how I can provide further help.

Please send the whole output of /usr/share/bug/xserver-xorg/script 31
so that we see your config, log and hardware.

Is the machine pingable after the crash? Can you restart X without any
problem?
It would be good if you could:
* send us the log of the crashed session (if X already restarted, the
previous log is moved to /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old)
* catch a backtrace with gdb after installing xserver-xorg-core-dbg and
xserver-xorg-video-intel-dbg. The easiest way is to connect through ssh
from another machine, attach gdb with gdb -p $(pidof X), wait for the
crash to occurs, and then ru bt full in gdb.

That is not something ECL has to provide. It is more a configuration
option that operating systems may provide. The question is whether it
is worth.

You have to consider the following: with every binary release we are
adding more functions and the names of old ones change. That means
being a rapidly evolving project we are definitely going to break
binary compatibility very frequently. I should rather say with every
release.

Furthermore, ECL is currently not being used as a library by any
project. It is only either a runtime for compiled files or the
interpreted environment itself. Do you expect SBCL to use some kind of
SONAME for its core? Not really.

The file /usr/share/mol/config/molrc.post contains the line
 of_image:${drv}/openbios
twice. The file /usr/share/mol/drivers/openbios does not exist.

 The solution is easy:
 of_image:${drv}/of
works for MacOS 9. I could not test OS X.

Does this actually cause any problems? If not I'd rather leave the
default as set by the upstream author.

For me MOL works fine with the default setting.

Maybe this is a mol-drivers-linux bug.
mol-drivers-macos depends on mol-drivers-linux.
/usr/share/mol/drivers/of is in mol-drivers-linux.
The upstream's deault setting uses drivers/openbios. (

Bug#497076: freecol: language setting is not preserved

2008-08-30 Thread Vincent Fourmond
severity 497076 minor
thanks

  Hello,

Timo Juhani Lindfors wrote:
 Steps to reproduce:
 1) start freecol

 2) goto options

 3) set language to Finnish (or anything different really)

 4) save settings and quit

 5) start freecol

 6) goto options

 Expected results:
 6) Finnish is shown as the current language

 Actual results:
 6) Language selection says Autodetect Language

Actually, the options say Autodetect Language, but the language
choice is kept nevertheless (try changing it to, say French ;-)...). So
this is only a minor glitch in the display of options, such as an
uninitialized combox box.

  Cheers,

Vincent

Bug#496873: ITP: pure -- functional programming language based on term rewriting

2008-08-30 Thread David Baird

 * Package name: pure

I can't help thinking that 'pure-lang' would be a much better package
name rather than using such a common word that has multiple meanings.

Agreed. This is my first time doing a package for Debian, and I'm
inexperienced with using Debian's systems. Is there something I need
to do to fix this up in Debian's bug system?

   Version : 0.5
Upstream Author : Albert Gräf Dr.Graef at t-online.de
 * URL : http://pure-lang.sourceforge.net/
 * License : GPLv3
   Programming Lang: C, C++, LLVM
Description : functional programming language based on term rewriting

Long description would appear to be missing.

Oops :-( Sorry. I've got this taken care of, to some extent in the
package that I've been working on. I just didn't put it in the ITP
report. Basically, here is a copy-and-paste from the Pure website:

Pure is a functional programming language based on term rewriting.
Its core is actually purely algebraic and purely functional, but the
name can also be taken as a recursive acronym for the Pure Universal
Rewriting Engine. Pure has a modern syntax featuring curried function
applications, lexical closures and equational definitions with pattern
matching, and thus is somewhat similar to languages of the Haskell and
ML variety. But Pure is also a very dynamic language, and is more like
Lisp in this respect. The interpreter has an LLVM backend to do JIT
compilation, hence programs run blazingly fast and interfacing to C
modules is easy.

As a language which uses general term rewriting as its underlying
computational model (instead of the lambda calculus, which most other
functional programming languages are based on), Pure also offers the
symbolic evaluation capabilities which you'd expect from such a
language. Pure is closely related to the author's Q language and is
slated to eventually become its successor, since it offers many new
and powerful features and programs run much faster than their Q
equivalents. (OTOH, Q still offers many more library modules right
now. Most of these will eventually be ported to Pure, but this will
take some time.)

The package name and the long description need to clearly explain what
the package can do and why anyone should want to install it. It should
also explain term rewriting which is not clear to me from what you
 have provided so far.

I think term rewriting would be kind of hard for me to explain, but
I'll give it a shot. The programmer specifies rewrite rules, which
are compiled to do efficient pattern matching and substitution on
abstract syntax trees. The rewrite rule looks like this:

pattern - expression if condition

The pattern matching can be fairly sophisticated, like other languages
such as Prolog and Erlang and other functional languages. The
expression simply rearranges and evaluates
variables/constants/sub-trees which were matched by the pattern.
condition is a guard which checks for situations that cannot be
handled by pattern matching alone.

As Pure (and Q) demonstrate, you can actually make whole entire
programming languages based on this idea of term rewriting.

I think I am nearly ready to do a request-for-sponsor on the
debian-mentors list if there is nothing further to do on this ITP
report.

Thank you for your comments to help me out since I am very new to this.

Bug#421085: FTBFS: scanlogd.c:181: error: 'CLK_TCK' undeclared

2008-08-30 Thread Solar Designer
Debian fixed this bug incorrectly. CLOCKS_PER_SEC is not a correct
substitute for CLK_TCK. Please see:

http://www.openwall.com/lists/xvendor/2006/04/17/1

To make matters worse, the glibc documentation is buggy:

http://sources.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2636

For scanlogd, the correct fix is to update to 2.2.6 - which, by the way,
was already out by the time Debian wrongly fixed the bug.

I find it likely that many other Debian packages have introduced similar
bugs, though (blindly replacing CLK_TCK with CLOCKS_PER_SEC).

It is not reported in /var/log/apt-cacher. If you want to see what

You are still misunderstanding this. Even though the files are no longer
installed on the system, they are still part of the distribution and
therefore are kept in apt-cacher's cache. They are only removed from
there once they are removed from the distribution. This is in case
another machine on your network wants to install them. Then you have
saved bandwidth by only downloading the files once. It is nothing to do
with what is currently installed on particular machine(s).

Apt-cacher is a proxy cache for a group of machines to save having to
download the same file multiple times for each machine. Do you have
multiple machines on a network? If not, apt-cacher is probably of no use
to you.

 For the two packages:

Even better would be fixing, but I think this might be involved (based

This bug is likely a WONTFIX for the reasons already pointed out,

However, I think udns should still be left out of stable, since the

he believes the software is still experimental (mainly the library

Hi, I found out how to do it. It is just that it works differently that
in other applications. The text to copy still has to be highlighted when
I middle-click. I have always left-clicked once at the point where I
want to insert the text before middle-clicking (which is maybe
unneccesary...), and that didn't work in geany. When I copy text out of
geany I can still do this, because then geany looses its focus and the
text is still highlighted in geany after the left click in the other

It seems that installer recognize /dev/mapper/* as an lvm volume, and
 so disable grub installation.

That should not happen. There is an exception for dmraid devices, which
apparently no longer works.

From the output you provide the reason seems to be that partitions are now
created as dmraid devppartition nr. The problem is the p between
the device and the partition number which AFAICT did not use to be there
before.

This makes the isinstallable test fail for grub-instaoller. I would not
be surprised if this would make other changes necessary too.

First thing that needs to be determined is what exactly has changed to add
this p. Is it a change in dmraid, or in libparted, or elsewhere?
When we know that we can check where changes are needed.
Do you have any idea yourself where this p comes from?

lilo-installaer wants to install lilo in a bad partition,
/dev/mapper/sil_aiahbgbgaaajp1 , but the correct is
 /dev/mapper/sil_aiahbgbgaaaj1

dmraid has never been tested with lilo, so this is not very surprising.

I'm reassigning this issue to partman-dmraid as that is the most specific
component for dmraid support, even though most needed changes will
probably be in grub-installer.

FJP

nvidia-kernel-legacy-96xx-2.6.26-1-686 still provides
nvidia-kernel-legacy-96xx-1.0.9639, which should have been changed to
nvidia-kernel-legacy-96xx-96.43.07.

Bug#494031: Non-deterministic build failures

Hi Jurij!

 Hi,

I've now tried to build paraview 5 times with the proposed patch on
sparc. 2 times package build succeeded, 3 other times it failed with
different errors in different places. At this point I have no idea
what makes the build non-deterministic. I don't think it's hardware
issue, because I did not see any problems while building other
 packages.

First, thanks very much for figuring out the patch. I myself am
finishing my thesis now, so I cannot get to it in the next couple
days. Could anyone try it too please?

I hope it's a hardware failure. So maybe let's apply the patch, upload and see?

Then this is a bug in mplayer, not mplayerplug-in.

Perhaps. If you believe so, please reassign. One strange thing that
make me suspect it is a bug in mplayerplug-in, is that the log do not
show any debug message indicating that mplayer was started. The
player thread isn't started, and I am unable to figure out why.
Perhaps it is a bug both in mplayer and mplayerplug-in?

Happy hacking,

Looking inside /etc/init.d/slapd on the lenny box, I see the following lines:

 But
it looks like the opposite to the fix that needs to be done
(/var/run/ldapi  is the real socket, and var/run/slapd/ldapi is the
symlink that needs to be created).

That's incorrect. The default ldapi socket created by the slapd package in
lenny is /var/run/slapd/ldapi.

Have you set a non-default ldapi URI in /etc/default/slapd? There is no
reason for the slapd in lenny to be creating /var/run/ldapi as the socket
unless you've overridden the default.

Basically, distill the paste into two (shortish) paragraphs that do not
leave terms undefined but cover enough ground that ARandomUser who has
not seen this package before will get a good idea of whether it is
relevant to their needs. Once packaged, debtags will allow more
classification.

My first suspicion would be about the hardware.

Mine too.

You could run memtest86+
for at least 12 hours or until the first error.

Can I download an iso image of a boot CD with memtest86+ somewhere? I
have only this single Linux machine at the moment, and there's no
chance at all that the machine works long enough that I am able to
install the package and understand how to create an image.

Another idea: you could test the system with another version of
Debian,

or with Ubuntu, Knoppix, or another live CD, and see if you can
reproduce the problem with that.

That's exactly what I did and why I am reporting this as a Debian
bug: It never occurred when booting from a Knoppix CD, even after hours.

The only thing that is different hardware-wise is that the harddisk
is mostly inactive in Knoppix.

Is there any live system available which can handle lvm volumes? I
think I even have some free disk space for an additional partition to
install the live system on harddisk. But I cannot access it from
Knoppix, and didn't find information on lvm in the Knoppix FAQ.

TIA, Frank

I don't think grave severity for this bug is justifiable.

It hangs the whole IDE so I think it is quite severe bug. And it's not
just one option which noneone uses. it's quite likely that many users
will try to run program that way and then it crashes.

The compiled program can be executed normally outside Anjuta.

The compiled program can be executed normally *within the terminal* in
 Anjuta.

Yes you can do that, but I think that's just a poor excuse. Many of the
developers want to execute program directly from the IDE because it is
possible. And you can be sure you annoy lots of people if this bug is
not fixed in Lenny.

I've been using Anjuta regularly for years and I have not needed to use
Execute Program from the build menu.

If you don't use it, it does not mean noone uses it. Eg. I usually do
use it.

Well, not really, mysql users and fresh postgresql users can still use the
package..

Using PostgreSQL 8.3.3 and Mediawiki 1.13. Upgraded from Mediawiki 1.12
to 1.13. Had to execute the populateCategory.php script inside
maintenance due to the changes made by upstream in the software, so that
new category and categorylinks tables are populated.

When doing so, it fails and leaves the pages plenty of corrupted
information, displaying tons of links/pages that should not be there.
Please note the segmentation fault at the end. The update.php executed
before also ended in a segmentation fault error, but seemed to work
 fine.

Ok, this issue seems to come from a custom debian patch.

Could you try with the original file, attached with this mail ?

Just check your regenerated grub.cfg

view then no need to worry.
Just remove it from your device.map, then the errors should be gone.

Bug#497155: brltty: causes excessive resume of USB

2008-08-30 Thread Frans Pop
Package: brltty
Version: 3.10~r3724-1+b1
Severity: important

During investigation of an issue with USB in the kernel [1] I found that
the USB busses on my system were being activated from suspension way too
often. Some debugging identified brltty as the culprit.

Obviously this is not good for power usage on any system.

There has to be a better way to check for the presence of a USB brltty
device than the current implementation...

See the attached kernel log (with USB_DEBUG enabled) for the details.
You will see a huge number of entries like this:
Aug 30 12:37:18 faramir kernel: usbdev open by brltty
Aug 30 12:37:18 faramir last message repeated 48 times

You will also see that it all completely stops at 12:37:30 which is when I
did '/etc/init.d brltty stop'.

Host system: Debian unstable running self-compiled 2.6.27-rc5 kernel

Bug#496967: general: System completely blocks any input

Since late last week, my system completely hangs - it stops accepting
any input from keyboard or mouse - after 3 to 5 minutes after booting.
This happens both in a text console and when running X.

I should have been more specific here. It's not only the input, it's the
output as well. For example, if aptitude is downloading packages in an
rxvt window, the percent count stops changing as well, the display is
 also frozen.

Any (ethernet) network also seems to stop: It no longer answers to
pings, and a remote ssh login stops working, too.

Any ideas how I can start debugging this?

Looks similar to #479709, which happens with linux 2.6.25/2.6.26 but not
2.6.24 and seems to be provoked by chrony.

Bug#497160: Cannot link to -lshp on armel: hidden symbol '__aeabi_dcmpgt'

2008-08-30 Thread Martin Guy
Package: shapelib
Version: 1.2.10-4

Linking anything with -lshp fails on armel. e.g.:

$ cat  c.c
main(){}
^D
$ cc c.c -lshp
/usr/bin/ld: a.out: hidden symbol `__aeabi_dcmpgt' in
/usr/lib/gcc/arm-linux-gnueabi/4.3.1/libgcc.a(_cmpdf2.o) is referenced
by DSO
/usr/bin/ld: final link failed: Nonrepresentable section on output
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

This breaks the build of swscanner (when configure probes for -lshp),
and makes gpsmanshp and xastir unrunnable

More details are on wiki.debian.org/ArmEabiProblems - shapelib

If access to a fast armel-sid system is useful, please mail me.

Bug#493599: removing udns from lenny?

2008-08-30 Thread Thomas Viehmann
Package: libapache2-mod-defensible
Severity: serious
Version: 1.4-2

Hi Julien,

Debian tries to drop udns from lenny, your package is the only
dependency in testing. Could you rebuild without udns, please?
If you are busy, don't hesitate to reply if you prefer to have the
upload done for you.

Kind regards

T.

Background:
[in udns bug #493599]:
[udev-maintainer Thadeu Lima de Souza Cascardo]
However, I think udns should still be left out of stable, since the
upstream author has requested this from me in the last release, because
he believes the software is still experimental (mainly the library
 API/ABI).

 removal hint added

 Cheers

Bug#495257: Possible upgrade solution

2008-08-30 Thread Matthew Johnson
I've just asked upstream to comment on this issue.

In the mean time, would this be a possible solution:

can the postinst of the new package force a restart of all the services
(possibly including gdm et al to restart user sessions) which depend on
the system bus?

It's a bit ugly, but a. if this is an etch-lenny upgrade they will
probably all be restarted anyway and b. it's still better than an actual
reboot.

We could have one of those debconf questions like libc6 has.

Bug#415169: Reassigning to alpine-pico

2008-08-30 Thread Jordi Mallach
reassign 415169 alpine-pico
retitle 415169 use alternatives system for pico so it can't stop conflicting
with nano
thanks

Hi Asheesh,

The other day I saw Alpine still conflicted with nano, and today I saw this bug
was still open against nano. Nano has supported a pico alternative (at priority
10) since version 2.0.6-2, uploaded in May 2007.

Please do the same in your package and remove the unversioned conflicts.

Since the lasts updates in testing I don't have anymore this problem.
Gnome-app-install works fine, like gimp, gpaint or eog when opening

Well, not really, mysql users and fresh postgresql users can still use the
 package..

Yes, you are right. Sorry, my fault.

It works fine. I used the --force option on the populateCategory.php
script call and the category pages are now showing the contents (pages)
correctly.

Thanks for the update.

It still gave the segmentation fault error at the end, though:

/var/lib/mediawiki# php maintenance/populateCategory.php --force
Category population complete.
Segmentation fault

Shall you need any more help testing Mediawiki on PostgreSQL, please let
me know. I will most gladly help you with it.

Hi,

apparently, #495214: CVE-2008-3651: memory leak is fixed in unstable by
virtue of the new upstream release without the maintainer knowing /
noting it in the changelog.

The new upstream release has a largish diff to the version in testing,
does the release team want the version from unstable or a backported fix?

Kind regards

Bug#494031: Please try building paraview

2008-08-30 Thread Jurij Smakov
Hi,

I've proposed a patch [0] to fix an RC bug in paraview [1] (FTBFS on
sparc). Unfortunately, after applying the patch, the package build
fails in random places for me (not related to the initial problem) in
roughly half of the build attempts (in the other half the package is
built successfully). It might be some weird issue with the build
system or toolchain, there is also a chance that my hardware is broken
(even though until now I was not able to notice any problems while
building other packages). If you have a chance and a reasonably fast
sparc box (it takes about 6 hours to build on my SunBlade1000), please
try building paraview from sid with the patch [0], preferrably a few
times, and report if you encounter any failures.

Bug#497168: grub-installer cant change grub settings

2008-08-30 Thread Bolee Menee
Package: grub-installer
Version: 1.32
Severity: grave

When I install Debian on computer with other operation system, and
want to setup grub not on main boot section but only on Linux
partition (hd0,4) to use bootmanager from other OS, If user mistakenly
choose wrong partition (in my case it was (hd0,3) ) he will get error
message, after it will be possible to go back to menu and try again
steps, But it will be not possible to install grub at all (on right
partition).

I suggest that grub-installer should detect possible Linux partitions
for installing and show them to user. Or at least show partition list
on page where user must enter partition number. And the best if it
will also allow to reset grub partition if its not possible to install
to what user enter.

I am using expert install from 28.08.2008
debian-testing-i386-netinst.iso in Graphic and Text modes, tried both
grub and grub2. System was successfully installed only after reboot
and new install with correct (hd0,4) settings. Ubuntu also have this
problem. I can try again to re-install system if it will be needed for
testing.

I don't know where this p comes from,

Well, I assume that the p stands for partition. It is a somewhat
common separator. The question is why it is showing up suddenly now and
what is responsible for adding it.

this is an ls -la after partitions (from network shell installer)
[...]
But in the next reboot , from network shell installer:

What exactly do you mean by network shell installer? That is not really
a meaningfull term for us. If this is some Debian Installer image, then
please specify exactly what image you were using (full URL of the image
you downloaded is good).

I guess the two boots were with the exact same version of the installer
and the same boot options? If that is the case then something is really
broken.

Exactly at what point of the installation did you do the 'ls -la'? Was
this before or after partitioning? The best point to do it would be after
hardware (disk) detection, but before partitioning.

Obviously we cannot really support something that is so unpredictable.
From the info so far I would say that the problem is either in dmraid or
maybe in the device-mapper (either user space or kernel).

I suggest that you try to determine what causes the difference by saving
and carefully comparing the output of dmesg, various dmraid commands,
maybe info available in /proc/, the output of fdisk -l for the underlying
real devices, etc.

What is also suspicious is the missing partition 2, which I suspect is an
extended partition.

Bug#492913: xserver-xorg-video-intel: 855GM not recognized any more

2008-08-30 Thread Vincent Bernat
OoO Peu avant le début de l'après-midi du samedi 30 août 2008, vers
13:33, Julien Cristau [EMAIL PROTECTED] disait :

xserver-xorg-video-i810 is not installed on my system (status rc in
dpkg -l). xserver-xorg-video-intel from sid provides i810_drv.so while
this is not the case anymore for the one from experimental.

 Err...
 $ dpkg -c ../xserver-xorg-video-intel_2.4.1-1_i386.deb |grep i810_drv
 lrwxrwxrwx root/root 0 2008-08-24 18:29
 ./usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/i810_drv.so - intel_drv.so

 If i810_drv.so is gone, that's a bug. If 'Driver i810' in xorg.conf
is not equivalent to 'Driver intel', that's a bug too.

Hi Julien!

I just checked again and you are right, the link is here. I have
switched back to i810 in my xorg.conf and it is not able to detect my
graphic card.

I have traced the problem in gdb. xf86MatchDevice is called with
drivername set to intel. Inside, I have:

(gdb) print *xf86ConfigLayout.screens[0].screen
$37 = {id = 0x90f2418 Screen Alone On DFP, screennum = 0, defaultdepth = 24,
  defaultbpp = 0, defaultfbbpp = 0, monitor = 0x90f00c8, device = 0x90f60c8,
  numdisplays = 1, displays = 0x90f6338, numxvadaptors = 0,
  xvadaptors = 0x90f63a0, options = 0x0}
(gdb) print xf86ConfigLayout.screens[0].screen-device-driver
$39 = 0x90eff48 i810

So, no match. probe_devices_from_device_sections returns FALSE. In
xf86CallDriverProbe, drv-PciProbe!=NULL and I get into the last
else. drv-Probe is NULL so I don't get into the old probe method and
foundScreen is FALSE.

Maybe, less recent intel drivers had drv-Probe set to something
meaningful?

Bug#497155: brltty: causes excessive resume of USB

2008-08-30 Thread Frans Pop
Note that I do not have any braille device attached to my system. I only
have brltty installed to be able to test its support in Debian Installer
sometimes.

Bug#497163: xutils dependant on xutils-dev

2008-08-30 Thread Brice Goglin
Huub Reuver wrote:
 Package: xutils
 Version: 1:7.3+15
 Severity: normal

I'd like to keep some systems clean from development packages:

 ~# apt-get remove xutils-dev
 Reading package lists... Done
 Building dependency tree
 Reading state information... Done
The following packages will be REMOVED:
   xutils xutils-de

$ zless /usr/share/doc/xutils/changelog.gz
xorg (1:7.3+12) unstable; urgency=low
  * Re-add the xutils-dev dependency to xutils. There are still too many
packages build-depending on xutils and expecting imake to be available.
We'll drop it again after the lenny release (closes: #485184).

Bug#497171: mutt: should handle unencoded whitespace in Q-coded strings

2008-08-30 Thread Marc Haber
Package: mutt
Version: 1.5.13-1.1etch1
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

a Mail with

Subject: =?us-ascii?Q?Ein neuer?=

gets displayed as =?us-ascii?Q?Ein neuer?= in mutt. While this is
technicall correct (unencoded spaces are not allowed in Q-encoded
strings), mutt should be a little more tolerant here since a lot of
software generates that kind of censored.

I'd love to see

Subject: Ein neuer

on such input.

Greetings
Marc

The attached patch was enough to make xmoto start without segfaulting

Bug#497172: Please add armel to architecture list for lua-gtk - or maybe use any

2008-08-30 Thread Martin Guy
Package: lua-gtk
Version: 0.8+20080510+dash-1

lua-gtk is restricted to Architectures i386 and amd64 although
every other lua5.1 package is available on Architecture: any.

I've tried the build on armel and it turns out fine;
would you add armel in debian/control, or expand it to any please?

Cheers!
