Bug#719951: general: Autoremove Wants to remove Entire system

2013-08-17 Thread Kevin Berley
Package: general
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,
I was uninstalling Iceweasel cause I wanted the actual firefox. I found the
actual firefox way to install. It said remove iceweasel, i did, i installed
firefox. It works, I went back to trying to installing wine unstable, well as
I was getting usual errors, suddenly it says that 295 items are nolonger needed
and need removed. I look at the list, its the whole base system... Had this
happen once before, and had to restart fresh. I would like someone to get
debian to ignore this before someone else litterally looses a system with out
thinking twice. The autoremove needs reconfigured.

would you like to convert your suggestion into a patch ? You can download the

Bug#680087: openmm: changing back from ITP to RFP

2013-08-17 Thread Lucas Nussbaum
retitle 680087 RFP: openmm -- library for molecular dynamics
noowner 680087
tag 680087 - pending
thanks

Hi,

A long time ago, you expressed interest in packaging openmm. Unfortunately,
it seems that it did not happen. In Debian, we try not to keep ITP bugs open
for a too long time, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to
refrain from packaging the software.

This is an automatic email to change the status of openmm back from ITP
(Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen
any activity during the last 12 months.

If you are still interested in packaging openmm, please send a mail to
cont...@bugs.debian.org with:

retitle 680087 ITP: openmm -- library for molecular dynamics
 owner 680087 !
 thanks

It is also a good idea to document your progress on this ITP from time to
time, by mailing 680...@bugs.debian.org. If you need guidance on how to
package this software, please reply to this email, and/or contact the
debian-ment...@lists.debian.org mailing list.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,
