I found out that the libsane virtual package is missing from the testing
repository (also missing from unstable). This is what led to my problems.
From the stable repository, I downloaded the libsane virtual package to my
local repository - the package update problem was solved.
The solution is a crutch. I hope you will introduce the libsane virtual package
into the testing repository.

Yes, the stack smashing bug is still there (which is what creates the
crash report). That's only in stable, and I haven't gotten to the
bottom of what's causing it. But as you said, it's in a separate bug
report.

The crash files older than a month are now cleaned up. Do you have any
in there from before Oct 15th?


Nope. The oldest crash reports are from Oct 26 (20 days ago). The total 
disk usage, date range and number of files in this folder are basically 
the same as they were in July when I reported this.

I don't see chromium cleaning up old crash dump files on launch either.

easier fix for #995066 and #996389: to add


default-character-set = utf8mb4

to [client] section of /etc/mysql/debian.cnf.

This seems to be working with legacy charsets too, so you may consider 
the issue closed.

And also I installed libjemalloc2 and created a link ln -s

 is not part of tr for a long time in c++. I think this

So, how i can save password for this connection? In jessie i can save

rendering.

So please, package qtdeclarative-render2d-opensource-src and set
QMLSCENE_DEVICE=softwarecontext when the plugin is available.

First of all, thank you for your work.

After I have installed Oracle's Java v8u45 JRE and JDK, I tried to

install libreoffice. It has defaul-jre in dependencies and so, wants to

download and install openjdk JRE in addition to currently present Oracle

Java 8 JRE.

I tried creating source package with make-jpkg and adding default-jre

and default-jdk for JRE and JDK respectively to debian/rules, and

after I built a deb-package from resulting source package, my problem

was solved.

If it doesn't break anything else, could you please make it default

behaviour for make-jpkg?

Hello.
The proble now seems to be not directly sleep-related but rather
network-related one.
I've noticed that my rtorrent process had gone away and tried to start
it but got the error alike that.
Tried to strace it and seen that it sends SIGABRT after receiving many
no route to host errors. After that, I've found that my wifi just gone
away and there are indeed no routes.

So the problem now seems like rtorrent suddenly (for it) realizes that
there are no reachable hosts [of some kind] and aborts.

My ~/.rtorrent.rc is as follows:

dht_port = 6881

This type of issues has bee fixed by moving inner function to out of the

I try to run it on my project and it gives me an error:

 cppcheck .
(information) Failed to load std.cfg. Your Cppcheck installation is 
broken, please re-install. The Cppcheck binary was compiled without 
CFGDIR set. Either the std.cfg should be available in cfg or the CFGDIR 
should be configured.


I suppose you should pass (for example) CFGDIR=/usr/share/cppcheck/cfg 
to make and install content of cfg subdir to this path.

yes, it is still reproducable, so i am still on experimental webkit (just
upgraded to 2.3.90) and it doesnt segfault

Probably site that break browser would get fixed, i'd send other links in
that way, it occurs quite frequently, so i even had to install webkitgtk

So, i think, if you have pcscd installed, it's not safe to delete pcscd

I have a  media center with ssh and samba accsess.
With standard settings  deluge  can't write  to the users
home directory because of insufficient permissions.
If i use default deluge's path in samba, i have to make
new samba account to access downloaded files.

So I think  that in some cases  it is more convenient
to run  deluge  under a different user name.
I  made my  init.d script  with ability to change $USER
variable in /etc/default/deluge-daemon.

This approach is used  in a similar  project Transmission.

Then I ran a few X applications and made measurements.
And in the end I closed applications, and made measurements.

I tried to do a check with /proc/dri/0/gem_objects, but with radeon 
modeset disabled it does not exist.


And i use htop for memory usage monitoring. Even if it displays not 
actual memory usage of xorg, then total system memory usage is still 
much higher with kms=0.

Because any direct interference to MIME types would be discarded next

Notebook Acer 5738z. After update squeeze, I saw a black screen. But
xserver works - I blindly entered login and password. System shutdown
by power button.  After remove package xserver-xorg-video-intel,
xserver starts in VESA mode.

 make ejabberd work with postgres: odbc. These are the settings I am

   Granted, that's not most straight forward, but it works without any
 problem or additional modules. For a start, adding that modules into the
 ejabberd package would add a dependency on the postgres library, and
 people would also want the mysql one in with its dependency - which is a
 no-go.

   Having it in a seperate package might work out, but then, it actually
 /does/ work through the odbc framework and I'm not totally convinced of
 the benefit of doing it directly.

Well, i know about the odbc framework...
I still think, that something should me done, because the debian user,
who installed a ejabberd
packeage is misinformed.
If you want to use it with pgsql you probably go to config and search
for pgsql or postgres there. And use see:

Of course if you never install ejabberd manually you'll think it's all
you have to do to connect
ejabberd to your pgsql server.
So, my opinion is that you have do one of the following:
- add a comment to ejabberd.cfg, saying that debian ejabberd package
works with sql only throw odbc
- rebuild ejabberd so, that it couldn't use native mode at all
- add a package with erlang-pgsql and erlang-mysql (with *sql dependencies)
(of course i'd prefere adding a package with erlang-pgsql :-) )

otherwise user is misinformed why his ejabberd doesn't work properly.
i only figured it out with the help of my comrade, who uses freebsd, and
therefor knows
what you need to compile to make ejd working.

as you can see i use ldap for authentification and pgsql for rouster, offline 
and other backends.

i read different erlang manuals and got, that you need

there is an rpm package for fedora9, which contains this files:

Once again problem with splashy when setting cyrillic on the console. I found 
some similar bugs:
#513683 - splashy exit when console-cyrillic service start
#517750 - splashy: Segmentation fault after setting up Cyrillic on the console
#539241 - splashy: crashes with default console-setup configuration
But in my case, system freezes. I tried both console-setup (1.44) and 
console-cyrillic (0.9-15.2) - result is the same. I can boot only if i turn 
splashy off by pressing Esc during boot time (or completely disable it) or turn 
off cyrillic support.
