Hello Christian, David,

thank you for your suggestion.

I would be happy to see area-l10n-georgian list at teams.d.n and hope
this will also help the small team of Georgian Debian l10n community
attract more people.

Bug#436305: lists.debian.org: Please create debian-georgian

2008-09-06 Thread Aiet Kolkhi
Martin, Christian,

thank you for the information and support.

Aiet, you just now need to find 6 other persons in the l10n-georgian
community who are willing to support the creation of this mailing list.

The number of contributors to Debian l10n has grown, and I will ask
the people contributing or willing to contribute to email to this bug.

The list would ease coordination issues and help us grow the community
involvement.

What we COULD do as well, is to create a [EMAIL PROTECTED]
mailing list, which is less official, but also has not this high gateway
 hurdles.

I would think there are enough people willing to support
debian-l10n-georgian, but feel free to suggest creating the less
formal [EMAIL PROTECTED] should you think otherwise.

Thanks.

Aiet

Suggestion to create debian-georgian

Name: debian-georgian

Rationale: Debian Georgian l10n of di/gi is increasing. Need mailing
list that will enable Georgian language users to communicate. No need
to create separate l10n, user and news list for Georgian yet. One list
would be sufficient.

Long description:
This list is used to provide support, news and l10n for Georgian

Debian GNU/Linux in their native language.

Bug#417976: [INTL:ka] XKB Georgian keyboard layouts

2007-04-10 Thread Aiet Kolkhi

So, in short, if this bug has been reported upstream, I see a very low
benefit in keeping it opened in Debian.

Allright, then I guess the bug can be closed, as it has indeed been
reported upstream.

Bug#417976: [INTL:ka] XKB Georgian keyboard layouts

2007-04-05 Thread Aiet Kolkhi

Package: xkb-data
Severity: normal
Tags: xkb keyboard layout Georgian patch l10n

This patch revises existing Georgian XKB keyboard layouts, as well as
adds new keyboard layouts used in Georgian.

The layouts included are: Georgian QWERTY, Ergonomic (new Dvorak-like
standard), AZERTY, MESS (Education), Russian

The layouts reflect the recent changes in Unicode Georgian range, as
well as special symbols and punctuation (like Georgian typographic
quotation marks, degree and section signs, etc.) used in contemporary
Georgian language.

The detailed layout descriptions can be found at:
http://www.Gakartuleba.org/layouts/

The patch has already been reported in upstream (freedekstop), just
wanted to make sure it reaches Debian sooner.

This is a patch to /etc/X11/xkb/symbols/ge file (attached).

Thanks.

Bug#345080: [INTL:ka] Adding Georgian PSF font

2006-02-03 Thread Aiet Kolkhi
Hello,

do we have any progress on this bug?

Is there anything I could do to assist?

Bug#345080: [INTL:ka] Adding Georgian PSF font

2005-12-28 Thread Aiet Kolkhi
Package: console-data
Version: 2002.12.04dbs-50
Severity: normal
Tags: patch l10n psf georgian

Please add the attached Georgian PSF Unicode console font, so that
Georgian version of DI and other console tools can be viewed in
Georgian.

The attached PSF font includes all the Georgian characters present in
contemporary Georgian aphabet, as well as the new special signs added
in recent versions of Unicode Georgian subrange. The font also
includes basic ASCII latin chars and line drawing symbols.

Please note that this is only for displaying Georgian text on console.
I have not been able to create a unicode keyboard input table yet, so
any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Aiet Kolkhi
