Bug#423503: liberation fonts - let's upload
Hi, I'm not a DD, so, if possible, sponsor the package! http://technotux.org/dload/ttf-liberation/ Alan Hi Alan, I think the bug log has gathered all relevant information but just isn't conclusive on either one. I therefore suggest to just upload the package to unstable and have the FTP-masters decide on this - is this acceptable to Debian or not? That is, follow the reasoning by FSF or the one by some of the debian-legal participants? After all, FTP-master is the final authority on this. Do you think you can upload it sometime soon, so it may make it to Lenny? If you need sponsoring just let me know! Thijs -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#462451: brasero doesn't work when files to burn contain spaces
On Thu, 2008-01-24 at 19:56 -0300, Alvaro Herrera wrote: When trying to burn a data DVD containing filename with whitespace, brasero seems to convert the spaces to %20 and then attempt to read them. When this fails, it simply punts and shows a dialog box saying No such file or directory, with no indication as to what exactly is going on. strace'ing the process tells the tale: I can see an lstat call like this: lstat(/home/media/stuff/foo%20bar/baz%20qux, 0x7fffc4d13790) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory) when there is no such file. (There is a file named /home/media/stuff/foo bar/baz qux instead). FWIW, in case it matters, the thing I dropped into the right pane is the /home/media/stuff directory, not the foo bar directly. I find this rather unfulfilling. I have 0.7.0 installed on my system. I tried to make an ISO file with some files containing spaces in the names. Then mounted the ISO using a command like: # mount -o loop brasero.iso tmp/ And checked the contents. Everything seems to be OK. Would you please do the same test with 0.6.x (your) version to see what happens? If you got corrupted file names, so this means that this problem has been fixed in new upstream version. Cheers, Alan

Bug#438600: ITP: myspell-hy -- Myspell dictionary for Armenian
Hi, There is no reason to reject it. It works and acts correctly. This dictionary supports both Western and Eastern Armenian words those are both used in Armenia and Armenian Diaspora. What do you mean correct? I think that situation is clear now. Bug#438600: ITP: myspell-hy -- Myspell dictionary for Armenian
Hi, Well, the issue says otherweise. I don't know who is right (I don't speak Armenian), but I just wanted to mention that issue and it's comments. If the issue was right I think it doesn't make sense to add it as -hy. Maybe as -hy-western or when there's a iso code there use that. (And make it conflict with a -hy containing the correct Armenian) If the issue is wrong, nevermind. As the issue said. If the correct spelling of Armenian is something else than Western Armenian, QWestern Armenian is not neceesarily correct for a Armenian dictionary. Spelling differences between Western and Eastern Armenian is very very little and the main problem is the grammar style. We don't use MySpell to fix grammar errors, do we? :-) So it's not needed to produce to different -hy-eastern and -hy-western packages imho.
