Can you try disabling most of these options?
Disabling DRI helps. Either by setting NoAccel to true or setting DRI
to false.
It's actually a bug in mesa. Downgrading to
libgl1-mesa-{glx,dri} from 7.0.1-2 to 6.5.1-0.6 solved the problem.
I'll file a bug against those then.

Recently the output of any GL application (glxgears, googleearth, nexuiz) is completely corrupted. The whole window is flashing, with bars running up and down like on an out-of-sync TV. The upper left quarter is filled with a green and blue flashing square. The remaining parts of the window usually show the background that was there before the window was opened. Page flip has an influence on this. If it is enabled, the whole window is flashing, as described. If it is disabled, only the square in the upper left corner is flashing. The rest of the window is just not redrawn at all. Only the window is affected, the rest of the screen is ok. No error outputs are found on stdout or in Xorg.log. My setup worked before, I don't remember, which change introduced this error, though. I've restartet the system before testing to exclude any influence from suspend/resume. I've tested with the upstream version 2.0.0.4 of firefox, and it worked as expected. So it seems, this bug is Debian specific. Bug#416462: emacs21: x-select-enable-clipboard broken
Package: emacs21 Version: 21.4a+1-5 Severity: normal By default emacs doesn't use the clipboard at all. This is a problem with apps that don't use the primary selection (like wine apps). The behaviour should be: kill/yank = use clipboard. Mouse select/ middle button = use primary selection. Emacs has the option x-select-enable-clipboard which is described as: Non-nil means cutting and pasting uses the clipboard. This is in addition to, but in preference to, the primary selection. If this variable is set to t, emacs uses the clipboard for kill/yank as well as for mouse select/middle button. Thus, as soon as there is something in the clipboard, it's no longer possible to transfer text to emacs through the primary selection by using mouse select/middle button. This is really annoying. On the other hand, emacs will overwrite the clipboard, as soon as text is selected with the mouse in emacs. The second annoyance. Bug#415791: auto-apt: doesn't find directories
Package: auto-apt Version: 0.3.21 Severity: normal Auto-apt fails to find the package for a directory. configure for some source checks for mysql.h by trying to compile a source that #include mysql.h whith gcc -I/usr/include/mysql The directory is not found by auto-apt and gcc doesn't bother to check for files in directories that don't exist.
