Bug#549210: xpad crashes when rightclicking on the systray

2010-11-03 Thread Andrea Lusuardi - UoVoBW
HI *,
i can confirm this bug, happens to me too, when rightclicking on the
systray or on any pad, thus rendering the application completely useless
(except for the already-open tabs that keep on working, but cannot be
modified or deleted in any way - writing on them works, though)

My machine:

Linux flatline 2.6.35.4 #3 SMP PREEMPT Sat Sep 11 18:36:45 CEST 2010
x86_64 GNU/Linux

my libc is

ii libc-bin2.11.2-6+squeeze1 Embedded GNU C Library: Binaries

and i get the following segfault upon clicking:

kernel: xpad[12094] segfault at 1c5e65f67 ip 7eff243eb121 sp
7fff79951e50 error 4 in libc-2.11.2.so[7eff24377000+158000]
kernel: xpad[10351] segfault at 13e035f67 ip 7f5b440d3121 sp
7fff3b9c65e0 error 4 in libc-2.11.2.so[7f5b4405f000+158000]

and so on.
How can i provide more info?
thanks

Bug#554174: ghc6: Segfaults at startup

2009-11-03 Thread Andrea Lusuardi - uovobw
Package: ghc6
Version: 6.10.4-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Hi,
i am beginning to work with haskell and i needed a compiler, so i just

aptitude install ghc

and it provided the ghci command line interactive interpreter, which, when run:

uov...@flatline:~$ ghci
GHCi, version 6.10.4: http://www.haskell.org/ghc/ :? for help
Loading package ghc-prim ... linking ... done.
Loading package integer ... linking ... done.
Loading package base ... linking ... done.
Segmentation fault
uov...@flatline:~$

causes a segmentation fault...
I tried writing a short haskell program and it works if i use ghc directly.
I also noticed that the one that segfaults seems to be ghc itself:

flatline kernel: ghc[7063] segfault at 0 ip 08b9c87b sp bfb7c23c error 4 in
ghc[8048000+c5b000]

At this point, i don't know where to look. Thanks for the time, should any
other new information be needed, let me know.
regards

Bug#523641: usbip: Package does not install the usb.ids file needed by the binaries

2009-04-11 Thread Andrea Lusuardi - uovobw
Package: usbip
Version: 0.1.7-2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

I compiled the usbip modules in the current vanilla linux kernel, under the
staging drivers tree, and loaded it.
i then installed the debian package for usbip but, when launching both the
daemon and the client i get an error being not able to open a socket and not
finding the usb.ids file.
By looking at the sources i found that it needed a usb.ids file shipped in the
svn repository and added it in /usr/share/hwdata (a directory i had to create)
and then the package worked.

and I can debug it for you

i'm sending it after this email

Bug#470840: debian-installer: Fails to install Grub on a RAID5 system

2008-03-13 Thread Andrea Lusuardi - uovobw
Package: debian-installer
Version: 4.0r3
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks the whole system

I installed a debian stable system on a Pentium 4 machine with 4 320GB ide
disks and the installation goes well,
but when it comes to installing grub on the MBR i get an error and i cannot
continue.
The raid array is set up like this:

I chrooted in the target directory from the debian installer but i could not
get grub to install by hand as this is the output:

The stage1 file exists:
