Bug#930532: xymon: imaps reports "unexpected service response"

2019-06-14 Thread Ari Sovijarvi
Package: xymon
Version: 4.3.28-5
Severity: normal

After upgrading from Debian 9 to 10, Xymon has issues checking imaps service.
This
appears to relate to SSL somehow, as if I change the imaps definition in
protocols.cfg
to drop SSL and change port to non-SSL, it works as expected.

In the other end I have Dovecot with a valid certificate and I can connect to
with with
openssl's s_client without problems.

In short, this works:
[imaps]
   send "ABC123 LOGOUT\r\n"
   expect "* OK"
   options banner
   port 143

This does not:
[imaps]
   send "ABC123 LOGOUT\r\n"
   expect "* OK"
   options ssl,banner
   port 993

Dovecot shares the certificate with Apache, which provices web mail, SSL
connection to
Apache seems to work. Also, even when the imaps protocol test doesn't work, the
certificate
appears correctly in the sslcert-test in Xymon.

This does not seem to leave anything in any of the Xymon's log files.

Bug#925577: shairport-sync: Crashes with "free(): double free detected in tcache 2" with instance name changed

2019-03-26 Thread Ari Sovijarvi
Package: shairport-sync
Version: 3.2.2-1
Severity: normal

If the name-parameter is changed within the general block to something else
than "%H", shairport-sync
will crash with following error when either launched from init scripts or with
--daemon parameter:

Looking for configuration file at full path "/etc/shairport-sync.conf"
free(): double free detected in tcache 2
Aborted

Running it without the daemon parameter or leaving the system name as "%H"
stops the crash.

In my case, the offending configuration option was:

Bug#784663: samba: Tdbsam fails with high ascii characters in user names

2015-05-07 Thread Ari Sovijarvi
Package: samba
Version: 2:4.1.17+dfsg-2

After upgrading from Wheezy to Jessie Samba no longer accepted user logins.
Turns out the letter ä in user names makes Samba ignore a user in the user
database. After renaming my user it worked without problems. Wheezy's Samba
used the same database file without problems.

Bug#703162: forked-daapd: Segfaults on remote connect

2013-03-16 Thread Ari Sovijarvi
Package: forked-daapd
Version: 0.19gcd-2.1
Severity: important

Forked-daapd segfaults repeatedly after it's paired with the current version of
Apple's remote app. The remote app's version is 3.0.1.

The pairing itself works and the remote app starts connecting after the
.remote-file has been created, but fails as forked-daapd segfaults soon after
that.

forked-daapd[13394]: segfault at 8 ip 7fd574917e21 sp 7fd5427c0fb8
error 4 in libc-2.13.so[7fd574897000+18]

Attached you'll find forked-daapd's log, run in debug mode. The segfault above
happens right after the last line.

Exiting the application and restarting brings back all the windows, leaving

Bug#603574: mrxvt: Fails to render special characters

2010-11-15 Thread Ari Sovijarvi

Since upgrading to Squeeze, mrxvt is unable to render any special/accented

issue.

Having any of the trouble causing letters messes up next couple characters in
the line.
