Package: ddclient Version: 3.6.2-6 Severity: important Using "ip addr show" shows my real IP address under "global scope" instead of "local scope." However, "ifconfig" shows a "169.x.x.x" address -- a curiosity because I have a public IP, and I can find my real IP address by going to a site like http://checkip.dyndns.org/. Maybe having avahi-daemon installed and running confuses ifconfig, but either way, ddclient still tries to update my DynDNS account with a 169.x.x.x address instead of my true external address on eth0.
