Bug#722522: Please update granite from upstream
Source: granite Version: 0.1.0+dfsg-2 Severity: wishlist Debian Experimental still contains version 0.1.0 of this package, while upstream is at 0.2.3. There are API changes in the new release, so an update will ensure that future developers build on the new API. Copyright issues that required a DFSG repack of granite 0.1.0 have been resolved. If you need assistance in updating this package, I'm willing to help.
Bug#712937: RFA: olive

I expected to take over it as an upstream maintainer in addition to being the debian maintainer, but I wasn't able to commit to it due to lack of time. Hence, I'm putting it up for adoption. Bug#686766: Is it time to remove dmedia?
Hi Luca, Newer versions of dmedia depend on libraries which are not a part of Debian (yet), so it makes sense to remove dmedia from the archive right now, and then add it later on when the novacut stack is complete (and the required libraries are in place). I chatted with upstream too, and they didn't have any objections to a package removal. So, feel free to go ahead and file a removal request. Do we need the entire team's consent for that? Audacious upstream (also part of atheme) uses libguess. We have it disabled in the debian package for now. I wanted to enable that. Hence I wanted to maintain this package. Moreover, I am quite good in maintaining shared libs, and I just completed the packaging fully lintian-clean, with symbols control files, etc etc. So if you feel doubtful about its future in the case of charset detection, feel free to hand over the ITP to me and I'll get the package into the NEW queue within a week. LibGuess employs discrete-finite automata to deduce the character set of the input buffer. The advantage of this is that all character sets can be checked in parallel, and quickly. Bug#581601: Packaged new upstream version
Thanks Gregor and Tom for telling me about the new upstream version and helping me in packaging. I have a new package ready for download from mentors.debian.net . I have tested it completely and cleaned out all lintian errors that were fixable, now only an X and an I tag is remaining. Bug#595500: I would like to take over
Hello ! I am Bilal Akhtar, an Ubuntu MOTU Developer and I would like to take over maintaining this package. I can be found on Freenode and OFTC with the nick bilalakhtar and this is my e-mail address. I haven't uploaded any thing to Debian yet, but I want to begin with this. My work on Ubuntu can be found at https://edge.launchpad.net/~bilalakhtar and a list of the Ubuntu packages I have worked on at https://edge.launchpad.net/~bilalakhtar/+uploaded-packages . Thanks! Bug#581601: ITP: liboauth -- C library for implementing oAuth 1.0 specification
The problem is, upstream has pushed a version of liboauth from which there is some strange symbols problem, in which dpkg-shlibdeps is unable to find the dependencies for the package. The workaround for this is to hard-code the deps, which the DDs don't find fit. So, the packaging is right now in a standstill.
