Package: dmidecode Version: 3.3-1 Severity: normal Tags: upstream X-Debbugs-Cc: bl...@coates.life
Dear Maintainer, *** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** * What led up to the situation? Trying to dump dmidecode information via the -u/--dump switch into a bin file. Running dmidecode -t 1 -u produces a segmentation fault * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? * What was the outcome of this action? Segmentation fault. * What outcome did you expect instead? The ability to pipe the output to a file for use later. Segmentation fault causes the command to exit before the output redirect is performed. This appears to be fixed in commit 11e134e54d15e67a64c39a623f492a28df922517 upstream. *** End of the template - remove these template lines *** -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers testing-security APT policy: (500, 'testing-security'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-6-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages dmidecode depends on: ii libc6 2.31-11 dmidecode recommends no packages. dmidecode suggests no packages.
