Bug#732994: systemsettings: Run Command Interface is missing among KDE components in global keyboard shortcuts
Package: systemsettings Version: 4:4.11.3-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, There should be Run Command Interface item in system settings - global keyboard shortcuts - kde component but it is not there. Because of that it's impossible to change hotkeys of krunner even though they actually exist. Currently I have Alt+F2 binded to Run Command but there is no way to change that from system settings. This has been reported before, but I do not know what causes it, and nobody has provided enough information, such as what ssh password program is being run, for me to do anything about it. All I can tell is that ssh, despite git-annex testing that it can log into a remote system without a passowrd, sudddenly decides it needs a password. This is repeated once per file it tries to transfer. http://git-annex.branchable.com/bugs/Endless_SSH_password_prompts/ Taking a screenshot, and running ps -fax to find what programs are running, seem like the logical first steps to get anywhere on this problem. -- see shy jo Here I attach a screenshot of mentioned window. So, this is not a password prompt at all, which explains a lot. Looks like it expected one host at an address, and got another one. Hmm, one scenario would be, if you locally paired on your home network, and went to work (for example), there might be a computer at work with the same address. If it also has ssh, this would happen. Can you post the relevant part of your ~/annex/.git/config for this remote? I'm particularly curious if it decided it had to hardcode the IP address, which would make this kind of collision more likely than if it had been able to use the LAN's DNS, or mDNS for the remote. I think I can fix this easily by making git-annex always use StrictHostKeyChecking, both when transferring to remotes, and when syncing. -- see shy jo [remote 192.168.1.2_annex] url = ssh://crabman@git-annex-192.168.1.2-crabman_annex/~/annex/ fetch = +refs/heads/*:refs/remotes/192.168.1.2_annex/* annex-cost = 175.0 CrabMan headcrabex...@gmail.com -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Synaptiks used to work for me before this moment. What happened is: I switched my laptop to sleep mode for the first time in a very long time. Before I did it synaptiks had been working fine. When my laptop slept and woke up, I opened the screen and found kde crash report helper saying that synaptiks crashed. It said my backtrace wasn't useful, so I installed: apt-get install python2.7-dbg sudo apt-get install python-dbg sudo apt-get install python-kde4-dbg After that every time I launch synaptiks, it crashes with segmentation fault, also whenever I enter touchpad settings in kde system settings, it crashes too. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. You can see that bug report here: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=725796 This bug is reproducible by me on both debian wheezy and debian jessie. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.1 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages pidgin depends on: ii gconf2 3.2.5-1+build1 ii libatk1.0-0 2.4.0-2 ii libc6 2.13-38 ii libcairo2 1.12.2-3 ii libdbus-1-3 1.6.8-1+deb7u1 ii libdbus-glib-1-20.100.2-1 ii libfontconfig1 2.9.0-7.1 ii libfreetype62.4.9-1.1 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.26.1-1 ii libglib2.0-02.33.12+really2.32.4-5 ii libgstreamer0.10-0 0.10.36-1.2 ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.10-2 ii libgtkspell02.0.16-1 ii libice6 2:1.0.8-2 ii libpango1.0-0 1.30.0-1 ii libpurple0 2.10.6-3 ii libsm6 2:1.2.1-2 ii libx11-62:1.5.0-1+deb7u1 ii libxml2 2.8.0+dfsg1-7+nmu1 ii libxss1 1:1.2.2-1 ii perl-base [perlapi-5.14.2] 5.14.2-21 ii pidgin-data 2.10.6-3 Versions of packages pidgin recommends: ii gstreamer0.10-plugins-base 0.10.36-1.1 ii gstreamer0.10-plugins-good 0.10.31-3+nmu1 Versions of packages pidgin suggests: ii libsqlite3-0 3.7.13-1+deb7u1 -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#723108: gnome: PrintScreen button doesn't work if a tray icon menu is opened
Package: gnome Version: 1:3.4+7 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, I was trying to make a screenshot of tray menu of one of my programs and I found out that it's impossible to do that with gnome printscreen software (at least on my computer). I expected it to make a screenshot. Later I checked if my printscreening functionality works at all and it does - in normal situations it makes screenshots ok. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.1 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages gnome depends on: ii aisleriot1:3.4.1-1 ii alacarte 3.5.3-1 ii avahi-daemon 0.6.31-2 ii cheese 3.4.2-2 ii cups-pk-helper 0.2.3-3 ii desktop-base 7.0.3 ii evolution3.4.4-3 ii evolution-plugins3.4.4-3 ii file-roller 3.4.2-1 ii gedit3.4.2-1 ii gedit-plugins3.4.0-1 ii gimp 2.8.2-2 ii gnome-applets3.4.1-3 ii gnome-color-manager 3.4.2-1 ii gnome-core 1:3.4+7 ii gnome-documents 0.4.2-2 ii gnome-games 1:3.4.2-3 ii gnome-media 3.4.0-1 ii gnome-nettool3.2.0-1 ii gnome-orca 3.4.2-2 ii gnome-shell-extensions 3.4.0-2 ii gnome-tweak-tool 3.4.0.1-2 ii gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg 0.10.13-5 ii gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly 0.10.19-2+b2 ii hamster-applet 2.91.3+git20120514.b9fec3e1-1 ii inkscape 0.48.3.1-1.3 ii libgtk2-perl 2:1.244-1 ii libreoffice-calc 1:3.5.4+dfsg2-0+deb7u2 ii libreoffice-gnome1:3.5.4+dfsg2-0+deb7u2 ii libreoffice-impress 1:3.5.4+dfsg2-0+deb7u2 ii libreoffice-writer 1:3.5.4+dfsg2-0+deb7u2 ii nautilus-sendto 3.0.3-2+b1 ii network-manager-gnome0.9.4.1-5 ii rhythmbox2.97-2.1 ii rhythmbox-plugin-cdrecorder 2.97-2.1 ii rhythmbox-plugins2.97-2.1 ii rygel-playbin0.14.3-2 ii rygel-preferences0.14.3-2 ii rygel-tracker0.14.3-2 ii seahorse 3.4.1-2 ii shotwell 0.12.3-2 ii simple-scan 3.4.2-1 ii sound-juicer 3.4.0-3 ii telepathy-gabble 0.16.5-1+deb7u1 ii telepathy-rakia 0.7.4-1 ii telepathy-salut 0.8.1-1 ii tomboy 1.10.0-2 ii totem3.0.1-8 ii totem-plugins3.0.1-8 ii tracker-gui 0.14.1-3 ii transmission-gtk 2.52-3+nmu1 ii vinagre 3.4.2-2 ii xdg-user-dirs-gtk0.9-1 ii xul-ext-adblock-plus 2.1-1+deb7u1 Versions of packages gnome recommends: ii browser-plugin-gnash 0.8.11~git20120629-1 ii gdebi0.8.7 ii gnome-games-extra-data 3.2.0-4 ii nautilus-sendto-empathy 3.4.2.3-2+deb7u1 ii telepathy-idle 0.1.11-2 Versions of packages gnome suggests: pn dia-gnome none pn gnome-boxesnone pn gnucashnone pn iceweasel-l10n-all none ii libreoffice-evolution 1:3.5.4+dfsg2-0+deb7u2 pn plannernone pn xul-ext-gnome-keyring none Versions of packages gnome-core depends on: ii at-spi2-core2.5.3-2 ii baobab 3.4.1-1 ii brasero 3.4.1-4 ii caribou 0.4.4-1 ii caribou-antler 0.4.4-1 ii dconf-gsettings-backend 0.12.1-3 ii dconf-tools 0.12.1-3 ii empathy 3.4.2.3-2+deb7u1 ii eog 3.4.2-1+build1 ii evince 3.4.0-3.1 ii evolution-data-server 3.4.4-3 ii fonts-cantarell 0.0.9-1 ii gcalctool 6.4.2.1-3 ii gconf2 3.2.5-1+build1 ii gdm33.4.1-8 ii gkbd-capplet3.4.0.2-1 ii glib-networking 2.32.3-1 ii gnome-backgrounds 3.4.2-1 ii gnome-bluetooth 3.4.2-1 ii gnome-contacts 3.4.1-1+b1 ii gnome-control-center1:3.4.3.1-2 ii gnome-dictionary3.4.0-2 ii gnome-disk-utility 3.0.2-3 ii gnome-font-viewer 3.4.0-2 ii

Bug#721997: linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64: BCM4313 with brcmsmac often fails to connect to AP and drops connection all the time
Package: src:linux Version: 3.2.46-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, I am using lenovo y570 laptop with Broadcom BCM4313 wifi installed and unfortunately it refuses to work as intended with any drivers available including brcmsmac which is available by default in Debian. Sometimes when I try to connect to the wifi network, it fails and keeps asking for password againd and again and sometimes it finally connects but becomes unusable very shortly after sending or receiving some data. I've had this bug on different GNU Linux distributives including debian and opensuse tumbleweed.
