Bug#732985: sylpheed search is case-insensitive for english letters but case-sensitive for russian letters

2013-12-23 Thread CrabMan
Package: sylpheed
Version: 3.4.0~beta6-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
in sylpheed there is a search field almost on the top of sylpheed
window. If I have and email with title MEGA and I type mega
or meGa in the search field, it will find that mail.
But if I have a mail with title in russian like Зипа and
I type зипа or зИпа, sylpheed won't find it.

Bug#732994: systemsettings: Run Command Interface is missing among KDE components in global keyboard shortcuts

2013-12-23 Thread CrabMan
Package: systemsettings
Version: 4:4.11.3-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
There should be Run Command Interface item in system settings - global
keyboard shortcuts - kde component but it is not there. Because of that it's
impossible to change hotkeys of krunner even though they actually exist.
Currently I have Alt+F2 binded to Run Command but there is no way to change
that from system settings. If I try to bind some other action to Alt+F2, there
appears a warning that says

The shortcut 'Alt+F2' conflicts with the following key combination:
Shortcut 'Alt+F2' in Application Run Command Interface for action Run
Command

What I have in that list of KDE components:
amarok
juk
kactivitymanagerd
KDE Daemon
KDE Keyboard Layout Switcher
khotkeys
klipper
kscreenlocker
KWin
Plasma Desktop Shell

So there also should be Run Command Interface (at least that's what it
is called on my other Gentoo system) but it is not there.

Also I suspect that bug http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=664692
may be connected with this one.

Bug#732602: git-annex: Infinitely creates OpenSSH authentication passphrase request windows

2013-12-19 Thread CrabMan
Package: git-annex
Version: 4.20131106
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,
I decided to sync 2 different computers with git-annex so I chose
local computer type of remote repo.
I chose a passphrase, entered it on another computer,
git-annex started syncing some files and then it stopped working
on another computer.
For half a day nothing too bad happened but after that on this
debian system there suddenly started appearing these
OpenSSH authentication passphrase request windows. They
don't even let me type anything with keyboard. Whenever I press
cancel on one of them, one transfer from transfer list in
git-annex's webapp disappears. Also this started happening when
git-annex on the other computer wasn't even running.

This has been reported before, but I do not know what causes it, and
nobody has provided enough information, such as what ssh password
program is being run, for me to do anything about it.

All I can tell is that ssh, despite git-annex testing that it can log
into a remote system without a passowrd, sudddenly decides it needs a
password. This is repeated once per file it tries to transfer.

 http://git-annex.branchable.com/bugs/Endless_SSH_password_prompts/

Taking a screenshot, and running ps -fax to find what programs are
running, seem like the logical first steps to get anywhere on this
 problem.

So, this is not a password prompt at all, which explains a lot.
Looks like it expected one host at an address, and got another one.

Hmm, one scenario would be, if you locally paired on your home network,
and went to work (for example), there might be a computer at work with
the same address. If it also has ssh, this would happen.

Can you post the relevant part of your ~/annex/.git/config for this
remote? I'm particularly curious if it decided it had to hardcode the IP
address, which would make this kind of collision more likely than if it
had been able to use the LAN's DNS, or mDNS for the remote.

I think I can fix this easily by making git-annex always use
StrictHostKeyChecking, both when transferring to remotes, and when
 syncing.

Bug#726371: I have this bug too

2013-10-25 Thread CrabMan
Synaptiks used to work for me before this moment. What happened is: I
switched my laptop to sleep mode for the first time in a very long time.
Before I did it synaptiks had been working fine. When my laptop slept
and woke up, I opened the screen and found kde crash report helper
saying that synaptiks crashed. It said my backtrace wasn't useful, so I
installed:

apt-get install python2.7-dbg
sudo apt-get install python-dbg
sudo apt-get install python-kde4-dbg

After that every time I launch synaptiks, it crashes with segmentation
fault, also whenever I enter touchpad settings in kde system settings,
it crashes too.

2013-10-17 Thread CrabMan
Package: clang-3.3
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,
I use Debian Wheezy but I needed clang-3.3 so I tried to backport it myself.
I tried to backport it from jessie repos.
What I did for that:
First I tried to

sudo apt-get build-dep clang-3.3

but it said that the needed version of libisl-dev couldn't be resolved

So I installed it from jessie deb-src repos too:

apt-get source -b libisl-dev
sudo dpkg -i libisl10_0.11.2-1_amd64.deb
sudo dpkg -i libisl-dev_0.11.2-1_amd64.deb

It was built and installed ok.
Then I did

sudo apt-get build-dep clang-3.3
apt-get source -b clang-3.3

It decided that all dependencies are ok and started to build the package.
It took a lot of time but in the end unit testing reported errors.
I'll include the log of that and some log file generated by sphinx
in next emails.

Bug#725796: kde-plasma-desktop: Default applications - Instant Messenger: can't choose neither pidgin nor kopete

2013-10-09 Thread CrabMan
I booted up my computer again and logged in and saw that now kopete is
indeed available in that combo box. But not pidgin. Also on another my
computer with debian wheezy installed pidgin is unavailable in this too.

Bug#725932: pidgin: Pidgin must provide .desktop files to let KDE recognise it as an IM

2013-10-09 Thread CrabMan
Package: pidgin
Version: 2.10.6-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
I use KDE and it has a gui for setting up default applications.
One of those categories is instant messenger. It is impossible
to set pidgin as the default instant messenger in KDe - it doesn't
appear in the combobox. I reported this bug to KDE maintainer but he
said that it's pidgin's bug and that it should provide
necessary .desktop files:

Then there is no bug in the KDE side. If you want pidgin available there then
you need to tell pidgin upstream to provide the necessary .desktop files so
KDE can find it.

You can see that bug report here:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=725796

This bug is reproducible by me on both debian wheezy and debian jessie.

Dear Maintainer,
The outline effect in Configure desktop effects - all effects -
window management - outline, when enabled, causes the current chosen
during alt-tabbing window's (the window I choose by pressing tab - not the
window that was focused before alt-tab) part that's lower than center of screen
to be painted blank white.

2013-09-19 Thread CrabMan
Package: bumblebee-nvidia
Version: 3.2.1-4
Followup-For: Bug #717687

Dear Maintainer,
I have this bug too:

$ optirun glxgears
[ 607.540506] [ERROR]Cannot access secondary GPU - error: Could not load GPU
driver

[ 607.540572] [ERROR]Aborting because fallback start is disabled.

primusrun give the same result. I tried different changes in bumblebee.conf,
changing driver to nvidia, nvidia-current and leaving empty - none works

Bug#723113: mumble: Moving mumble subwindow moves the main window too

2013-09-16 Thread CrabMan
Package: mumble
Version: 1.2.3-349-g315b5f5-2.2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
if I open a subwindow like About or Settings or Connect and try to
move the new mini window around, it moves together with the main mumble
window. I expect this new window to move by itself without affecting
main window's position.

Bug#723108: gnome: PrintScreen button doesn't work if a tray icon menu is opened

2013-09-16 Thread CrabMan
Package: gnome
Version: 1:3.4+7
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
I was trying to make a screenshot of tray menu of one of my programs and
I found out that it's impossible to do that with gnome printscreen
software (at least on my computer).
I tried it with different programs that keep their in tray: climentine,
pidgin, dropbox-nautilus. What I did exactly: move cursor to
bottom-right of the screen, bottom gnome panel appears with tray icons,
right click one of the icon - its menu shows up. Press printscreen -
nothing happened. I expected it to make a screenshot. Later I checked if
my printscreening functionality works at all and it does - in normal
situations it makes screenshots ok.

Bug#722673: vim-gnome: vimtutor tells to use :!del command even though there is no such command in debian

Dear Maintainer,

I was doing gvimtutor in russian.
The line №560 of gvimtutor tells me to delete a file with :!del TEST command.
Debian (or just my system) doesn't have such a command - it has rm instead - so
it doesn't work.
The tutorial should use rm instead of del

Bug#721997: linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64: BCM4313 with brcmsmac often fails to connect to AP and drops connection all the time

2013-09-06 Thread CrabMan
Package: src:linux
Version: 3.2.46-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer, I am using lenovo y570 laptop with Broadcom BCM4313 wifi
installed and unfortunately it refuses to work as intended with any
drivers available including brcmsmac which is available by default in Debian.
Sometimes when I try to connect to the wifi network, it fails and
keeps asking for password againd and again and sometimes it finally connects
but becomes unusable very shortly after sending or receiving some data.
I've had this bug on different GNU Linux distributives including debian and
opensuse tumbleweed.
The modes on the wifi router I am trying to connect to are as follow:
WPA2-PSK [AES] encryption
Wireless-N mode (up to 300 Mbps)
Channel 8
