Package: installation-reports

Boot method: Boot from CD with netinstall iso
Image version:
http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/squeeze_di_beta1/i386/iso-cd/debian-squeeze-di-beta1-i386-netinst.iso
Date: 18/11/2010

Machine: VirtualBox OSE 3.2.10 running on Squeeze
Processor: VirtualBox
Memory: 512 Mb
Partitions: /dev/sda1

Output of lspci -knn (or lspci -nn):

Base System Installation Checklist:

Comments/Problems:
I made the installation in spanish and the special characters did not
displayed correctly. Seems like it's using a wrong encoding.

I attached a screenshot of the installation process in wich can see the problem.

Thanks. Unfortunately the X server log doesn't show much information
about what went wrong. I will also need to see the kernel boot messages
(starting from time 0). If you booted recently then dmesg will show
them; otherwise they should be in /var/log/messages.

 Ben.

Here is the output of dmesg just after boot.

 Ben.

Thanks, it's solved now.

I couldn't adjust the aperture memory hole because my motherboard's bios
didn't had the option. But i have found that pressing ctrl+F1 enables
advanced options in the bios setup allowing me to change it.

I thought that was a bug because i didn't had this problem with 64bit
Ubuntu 9.04.

Again, thank you very much.
