Bug#430675: subj: 'alternatives' record has been changed

2007-06-26 Thread Dmitry E. Oboukhov
Package: fluxbox
Version: 1.0~rc3-0.1
Severity: normal

In 1.0rc3-0.1 version the record in "alternatives" system has been
changed from /usr/bin/fluxbox to /usr/bin/startfluxbox. But when
upgrading the package the old record is not deleted, so as a result we
have two records registered on the system simultaneously.

Bug#429825: centerim: Russian language is bugged

2007-06-20 Thread Dmitry E. Oboukhov
Package: centerim
Version: 4.22.0-1
Severity: normal
Tags: l10n

I've installed centerim package which is meant to replace centericq.
But Russian language is bugged.

Instead of the phrase (in English):
[icq] connecting to the server

in Russian I h've got random symbols:
[icq] A>548=5=85 A @><

In the old package centericq everything was OK with it.

centerim-utf8 doesn't work in Russian just like centericq-utf8.

Bug#429549: installation-report: option 'timestamp_timeout' in sudo config

2007-06-18 Thread Dmitry E. Oboukhov
Package: installation-reports
Version: 2.29
Severity: normal

Current installer have 2 options:
1.set root password
2.don't set root password
In case 2. the configuration file sudo created with the next settings

user ALL=(ALL) ALL

I suggest to add an option:

timestamp_timeout 0

This option will prevent getting root rights by malefactor who was
succeed in getting shell on user account (for example through
possible holes in brouser etc.)

In current case a simple script that periodically runs 'sudo command'
or more complicated script that follows for logs activity
/var/log/auth and runs on this log activity 'sudo command' can get
full control on a system where sudo configured by installer.

Bug#429483: bugs.debian.org: how to add an url on bug-report into a message body

2007-06-18 Thread Dmitry E. Oboukhov
Package: bugs.debian.org
Severity: wishlist

It would be useful if a notification message from BTS system also
contained an url of this message.
For example:
 --
 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=123456

Very often it is necessary to discuss a new bug with a sponsor or
other DD and (in comparison with the current situation) it would be
very convenient simply to copy this url.

Bug#410304: fluxbox: text ('strftimeFormat') width determenation error

2007-02-09 Thread Dmitry E. Oboukhov
Package: fluxbox
Version: 0.9.15.1+1.0rc2-1
Severity: normal
Tags: l10n

I use UTF-8 encode (ru_RU.UTF-8 locale).

Installing config parameter in the meaning:

session.screen0.strftimeFormat: %d %b, %a: %02k:%M:%S

I got too wide field 'time' at monitor.

Switching in monobyte encode (locale C or ru_RU.KOI8-R), I have normal
form of 'time'.

Obviously that problem is that text wide is determinied in bytes but
not symbols (for locale ru_RU.UTF-8 my variant of 'strftimeFormat' line
is more at 6 bytes than the same variant in local ru_RU.KOI8-R).

I could look code error by myself but I sent the patch at fluxbox before
and my messages were ignored. So now I just report about error.

With best regards, Dmitry E. Oboukhov.

PS: Sorry, my bad English.

I've already thought of it. Soon the new version of the programm will
be released. When released I'll certainly make devision into two packages.

In case of lost connection rsync not always manages the task of
mirroring. There's no such problem with wget . Besides I've added
the functionality exactly as an option, the old functionality
is retained.
There couldn't a possibility to use rsynс. I by myself was forced
to write this patch to be able using debmirror.

Bug#401790: ITP: hedgewars -- worms like game

2006-12-05 Thread Dmitry E. Oboukhov
Package: hedgewars
Version: 0.8.1-5
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: hedgewars
Version: 0.8.1
Upstream Author: Andrey Korotaev <>, Igor Ulyanov <[EMAIL
PROTECTED]>
* URL: http://hedgewars.org/
* License: GPLv2
Description: Worms style game
Each player controls a team of several hedgehogs. During the
course of the game, players take turns with one of their
hedgehogs. They then use whatever tools and weapons are
available to attack and kill the opponents' hedgehogs, thereby
winning the game. Hedgehogs may move around the terrain in a
variety of ways, normally by walking and jumping but also by
using particular tools such as the "Rope" or "Parachute", to
move to otherwise inaccessible areas. Each turn is time-limited
to ensure that players do not hold up the game with excessive
thinking or moving.
.
A large variety of tools and weapons are available for players
during the game: Grenade, Cluster Bomb, Bazooka, UFO, Shotgun,
Desert Eagle, Fire Punch, Baseball Bat, Dynamite, Mine, Rope,
Pneumatic pick, Parachute. Most weapons, when used, cause
explosions that deform the terrain, removing circular chunks.
The landscape is an island floating on a body of water, or a
restricted cave with water at the bottom. A hedgehog dies when
it enters the water (either by falling off the island, or
through a hole in the bottom of it), it is thrown off either
side of the arena or when its health is reduced, typically from
contact with explosions, to zero (the damage dealt to the
attacked hedgehog or hedgehogs after a player's or CPU turn is
shown only when all movement on the battlefield has ceased).

Bug#397482: fluxbox: ru_RU.UTF-8 (default russian locale in 'Etch') bug

2006-11-07 Thread Dmitry E. Oboukhov
Package: fluxbox
Version: 0.9.14-1.2
Severity: normal
Tags: l10n

Now Debian/etch uses locale UTF-8 for Russian language by default.
That's why
there appeared a bug in fluxbox: it is compiled for locale KOI-8.
It is easy to correct:
iconv -f koi8-r -t utf-8 ru_RU/Translation.m
or by making one more subdirectory in nls.

It would be quite reasonable to correct this mistake before releasing
etch or
to post this bug report on default installation of charset utf-8 in
debian-installer.

And why is it not relevant for subject? According to this RFC

http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2047.html

it can be applied to any message header, isn't it?

However Mutt shows the mails, which have in their bodies/attaches
print-quoted format with spaces, correctly.

Yoa are right. I've looked thoroughly through RFC, the spaces are really
prohibited.

There is a problem:
A lot of mailers (outlook, thebat, etc, as well as different forums)
that have russification, send mails with that very encoding of subjects.

I've looked through the RFC and found out that it is not correct, so I
even don't know what to answer.
Probably it is better to act according to the point 1, but I'll use Your
patch, thank You. :-\

With best regards

Bug#313621: Minor error in script mkzope2.7instance

2005-06-14 Thread Dmitry E. Oboukhov
Package: zope2.7
Severity: normal

uvw.ru:[/home/dimka]# umask
027

uvw.ru:[/home/dimka]# mkzope2.7instance
== List of existing instances in /var/lib/zope2.7/instance
InstanceTypeData.fs EmergencyUser
inst1 >= 2.7 yes yes, (in 'inituser', for >=2.7)

Quick reminder:
To run zope on an instance of type >=2.7 , use
 /var/lib/zope2.7/instance//bin/runzope
To start the server on the instance, use
' /var/lib/zope2.7/instance//bin/zopectl start '

You may now create another instance
Hit any key to go on, ctrl-c to stop

Please choose a directory in which you'd like to install
Zope "instance home" files such as database files, configuration
files, etc.

Directory: /tmp/demo-mkzope2.7instance
Please choose a username and password for the initial user.
These will be the credentials you use to initially manage
your new Zope instance.

Username: dimka
Password:
Verify password:

You may want to customize
/var/lib/zope2.7/instance//etc/zope.conf
-> You must at least customize the ports for http and ftp servers!
If you don't change the default values, all zope servers will try to
bind the
same TCP ports and this will not work.
