Bug#410304: fluxbox: text ('strftimeFormat') width determenation error
Package: fluxbox Version: 0.9.15.1+1.0rc2-1 Severity: normal Tags: l10n I use UTF-8 encode (ru_RU.UTF-8 locale). Installing config parameter in the meaning: session.screen0.strftimeFormat: %d %b, %a: %02k:%M:%S I got too wide field 'time' at monitor. Switching in monobyte encode (locale C or ru_RU.KOI8-R), I have normal form of 'time'. Obviously that problem is that text wide is determinied in bytes but not symbols (for locale ru_RU.UTF-8 my variant of 'strftimeFormat' line is more at 6 bytes than the same variant in local ru_RU.KOI8-R). I could look code error by myself but I sent the patch at fluxbox before and my messages were ignored. So now I just report about error. With best regards, Dmitry E. Oboukhov. Package: hedgewars Version: 0.8.1-5 Severity: wishlist * Package name: hedgewars Version: 0.8.1 Upstream Author: Andrey Korotaev <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, Igor Ulyanov <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> * URL: http://hedgewars.org/ * License: GPLv2 Description: Worms style game Each player controls a team of several hedgehogs. During the course of the game, players take turns with one of their hedgehogs. They then use whatever tools and weapons are available to attack and kill the opponents' hedgehogs, thereby winning the game. Hedgehogs may move around the terrain in a variety of ways, normally by walking and jumping but also by using particular tools such as the "Rope" or "Parachute", to move to otherwise inaccessible areas. Each turn is time-limited to ensure that players do not hold up the game with excessive thinking or moving. . A large variety of tools and weapons are available for players during the game: Grenade, Cluster Bomb, Bazooka, UFO, Shotgun, Desert Eagle, Fire Punch, Baseball Bat, Dynamite, Mine, Rope, Pneumatic pick, Parachute. Most weapons, when used, cause explosions that deform the terrain, removing circular chunks. The landscape is an island floating on a body of water, or a restricted cave with water at the bottom. A hedgehog dies when it enters the water (either by falling off the island, or through a hole in the bottom of it), it is thrown off either side of the arena or when its health is reduced, typically from contact with explosions, to zero (the damage dealt to the attacked hedgehog or hedgehogs after a player's or CPU turn is shown only when all movement on the battlefield has ceased). -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-2-686 Locale: LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages hedgewars depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-8 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.1.1-19 GCC support library ii libqt4-core 4.2.1-2 Qt 4 core non-GUI functionality ru ii libqt4-gui 4.2.1-2 Qt 4 core GUI functionality runtim ii libsdl-image1.2 1.2.5-2+b1 image loading library for Simple D ii libsdl-mixer1.2 1.2.6-1.1+b2 mixer library for Simple DirectMed ii libsdl-net1.2 1.2.5-7+b1 network library for Simple DirectM ii libsdl-ttf2.0-0 2.0.8-3+b1 ttf library for Simple DirectMedia ii libsdl1.2debian 1.2.11-7 Simple DirectMedia Layer ii libstdc++6 4.1.1-19 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii ttf-dejavu 2.11-1 Vera font family derivate with add hedgewars recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#397482: fluxbox: ru_RU.UTF-8 (default russian locale in 'Etch') bug
Package: fluxbox Version: 0.9.14-1.2 Severity: normal Tags: l10n Now Debian/etch uses locale UTF-8 for Russian language by default. That's why there appeared a bug in fluxbox: it is compiled for locale KOI-8. It is easy to correct: iconv -f koi8-r -t utf-8 ru_RU/Translation.m or by making one more subdirectory in nls. It would be quite reasonable to correct this mistake before releasing etch or to post this bug report on default installation of charset utf-8 in debian-installer. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-2-686 Locale: LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages fluxbox depends on: ii libc62.3.6.ds1-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libfontconfig1 2.4.1-2 generic font configuration library ii libgcc1 1:4.1.1-13 GCC support library ii libice6 1:1.0.1-2 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libsm6 1:1.0.1-3 X11 Session Management library ii libstdc++6 4.1.1-13The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-6 2:1.0.3-2 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 1:1.0.1-2 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxft2 2.1.8.2-8 FreeType-based font drawing librar ii libxinerama1 1:1.0.1-4.1 X11 Xinerama extension library ii libxpm4 1:3.5.5-2 X11 pixmap library ii libxrandr2 2:1.1.0.2-4 X11 RandR extension library ii libxrender1 1:0.9.1-3 X Rendering Extension client libra ii menu 2.1.31 generates programs menu for all me fluxbox recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
