Bug#734436: xzgv: Please provide a .desktop file

2014-01-06 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: xzgv
Version: 0.9.1-3
Severity: wishlist

It would be great if there were a .desktop file for xzgv, so that I
could conveniently set it as the default application for viewing
images.

Bug#714225: djview4: Fit page option can lead to infinite cycling of menu bars

2013-06-26 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: djview4
Version: 4.9-3
Severity: minor

In some situations, zooming to fit page can cause an infinite
cycling with menu bars appearing and disappearing. This is a little
odd in any case: shouldn't fit page never have menu bars? But in
any case there should be a check for this cycling.

On my screen (1400x1050, full screen mode, dual-page view), this
happens on pages 9-10 of this DJVU file:
http://archive.numdam.org/article/ASENS_1985_4_18_2_287_0.djvu
(But I would be surprised if it's anything special about this file.)

Bug#687677: okular: Trim margins doesn't always

2012-09-14 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: okular
Version: 4:4.8.4-2
Severity: normal

The trim margins option does not always work: sometimes pages appear
with no trimming at all. This seems to particularly often happen when
using the 'Facing page' option (without 'Continuous'). The second of
the two pages displayed at a time does not get trimmed. If pages n
and n+1 are displayed at a time, this will be page n+1 if you paged
forward (from pages n-2,n-1), and page n if you paged backwards (from
pages n+2,n+3).

Earlier versions did not have this problem, I'm not sure exactly when
it manifested.

Best,
Dylan Thurston

Bug#673682: xorg: Xorg randomly _totally_ freeze (cursor and interface)

2012-05-20 Thread Dylan Belle
Package: xorg
Version: 1:7.6+12
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

Xorg randomly _totally_ freeze : the cursor don't move and the interface is
blocked. It happens randomly when I use the computer. I don't have access to
the TTYs when this bug happens.

My only solution is to force the computer to shutdown (pressing 5 seconds the
start button).

This is the end of the Xorg's logs, I think that it would be usefull :

Bug#667729: network-manager-gnome: Similar bugs in Fedora and Ubuntu

2012-05-16 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: network-manager-gnome
Version: 0.9.4.1-1
Followup-For: Bug #667729

I also encountered this bug. There are similar bugs in Ubuntu,
Fedora, and Gentoo:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/973241
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=815331
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-7003656.html?sid=3dfae5840b7569cbe78f105c86b2a3e8

Note that all of this is specific to the ipw2200 driver. If the OP
does not have that wireless set, then it is likely a different bug.

The underlying issue (as I understand it) is a kernel bug: when using
the newer nl80211 interface, it incorrectly reports that the card does
not support any encryption. There is a kernel patch fixing that issue
here:

http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-wireless/msg88069.html

However, you may want to consider putting a workaround in nm-applet as
well. There is an Ubuntu PPA that does that here:

https://launchpad.net/~jools/+archive/ipw2200

Note that there are several other related issues; eg, the connection
strength doesn't show up in nm-applet. I don't know if that kernel
bug has been fixed yet.

Bug#649041: network-manager-gnome: cannot turn on wifi after it has been turned off

2012-05-16 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: network-manager-gnome
Version: 0.9.4.1-1
Followup-For: Bug #649041

I can also reproduce this. I think the hardware is relevant; I have
an HP/Compaq nc6220, with an ipw2200 card, and am using nm-applet in
an xfce environment.

A log illustrating the issues is below. This was quite annoying to
fix: the radio being disable persisted through kernel upgrades and
hard reboots. Disabling the wireless by the menu attached to
nm-applet gave similar results, except that sometimes the Enable
wireless checkbox is completely missing.

This might possibly be related to the kernel issues mentioned in my
comment in bug #667729.

the logs may be removed.
The binaries in the 2.0 and 4.0 directories may not since they are used in the
build to remake them.
As for the log,the latest version is an adaptation of a previous version
released in a ppa. The full log can be found in the package.

Since xournal has its own font subsetting code, perhaps this bug was

 working around.)

Workarounds: Use print to pdf rather than the built-in export, or use

This bug should be 'critical', since it causes unrelated software to break.

Bug#594944: auctex: preview no longer works with 'geometry' package

2010-11-27 Thread Dylan Thurston
A further update on this bug (which is still annoying): it only seems
to happen when running through the dvips route, not when using
pdflatex (by checking the appropriate option under the 'Command' menu
or running 'TeX-PDF-mode').

Again, deleting the 'geometry' package is another workaround.

Are you still not able to reproduce this?

Is it free? I faintly remember that I once had included some of Till
Tantau's documentation in the tetex-nonfree source package.

It is; the current version is available under the GFDL (no invariant

But it's also included in the pgf package, in

Bug#601237: texlive-base: texdoc fails to open gzip'ed pdf files like pgfmanual.pdf.gz

2010-10-24 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: texlive-base
Version: 2009-11
Severity: normal

texdoc and texdoctk both seem to fail to open gzip'ed PDF files.
I only have two relevant files in my installed TeX packages:

/usr/share/doc/texmf/latex-xcolor/xcolor.pdf.gz
/usr/share/doc/texmf/pgf/pgfmanual.pdf.gz

When I try, eg, 'texdoc pgfmanual', I get the following error message
from okular (which I have configured as PDF viewer):

Could not open file:///tmp/texdoc.i6ZXZa/pgfmanual.pdf

Indeed, when I check, there is no directory /tmp/texdoc.i6ZXZa .
Perhaps texdoc tries to gunzip the file and deletes it before okular
reads it? (Okular can read a .pdf.gz file, but I don't expect texdoc
to know that.)

(Note that gzip'ing this file save 1.2MB.)

The documentation for pgf (called pgfmanual or pgfuserguide) seems to

be included (as pgf is now part of texlive-pictures).

(This is related to #327341, but is a new bug. I think #327341 should

 Hi,

thanks for your report. Unfortunately I cannot reproduce this bug: your
sample document works fine here, with or without geometry.

I will try to delve into preview-latex log; meanwhile, it would be
helpful if you could retry your sample document on some other machine
and let me know if you can reproduce the bug.

I tried it on another computer (in a mostly-blank account) and got
different, but also broken, behaviour: the image was contained in a
document that seemed to be close to the size of a page. I've attached
the log from that computer.

On that computer (reincarnation), I just upgraded before testing, and
have

texlive-latex-base 2009-10
auctex 11.86-1
preview-latex-style 11.86-1

These are all the same as on the first computer tested (amaryllis).

I'll investigate more what the difference is as I have a chance, but I
hope the new logs will help.

Wild guess: it could be useful to create a (temporary) brand new account
to test again, just in case something in ~/ gets in the way, modifying
 ghostscript behavior in some way.

I just tried this, with no change: I still get an empty preview image
(on the machine with that behaviour before).

thanks

It turns out that it's sufficient to just delete the file
/usr/share/rubber/modules/etex.rub , as the default latex and pdflatex
are already the etex versions in current Debian.

Bug#508634: okular: Does not exit full screen mode

 Hi,

 you reported http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=508634 some
 time
ago. Since then, KDE Software Compilation had several releases. Can you
 please
verify whether the bug you reported is still present in a more current
 version
(and - if yes - specify which version)?

It's still present in the version currently in Debian unstable, Debian
version 4:4.4.5-1. The form may have changed slightly. The way I
would currently describe it is that if you quit okular while it is in
full screen mode, the next time you start it it will enter full screen
mode (which is reasonable), and then when you exit full screen mode
okular keeps all the same settings, namely, window size just larger
than the screen resolution and no menu bar. It thus appears to still
be in full screen mode, but if you understand that this is what's
going on, it's easy to work around. I would rate it as a 'minor' bug
at the moment.

Best,
Dylan Thurston

For a LaTeX document that uses the 'etex' package, rubber will attempt

No it didn't, you have purged an old tetex (which was only removed
but not purged) and that removed that file, old bug, cannot be fixed
now since it is in removed-but-not-purged state.

 See /usr/share/doc/texlive-common/NEWS.Debian.gz

 Please do
   aptitude reinstall texlive-base
 should fix that.

Thanks! Indeed that was my problem, and my apologies for missing the
documentation. (I had read that NEWS entry back in 2007...) My
system had been mildly broken for a month or so, and this fixed it.

For the benefit of anyone googling this, I also had to reinstall
texlive-latex-base in order to fix the brokenness on my system.
Specifically, I had been getting errors like

! Package color Error: No driver specified.

on certain latex documents run through pdflatex.

Bug#586496: sane-utils: sane-find-scanner does not find HP LJ 3020

2010-06-19 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: sane-utils
Version: 1.0.21-2
Severity: normal

With an HP LaserJet 3020 attached via USB, I get the output below. It
looks like the device is called /dev/usb/lp0, not /dev/usb/scanner0,
although it still doesn't work even when explicitly told to look there.

Bug#567859: docbook-xsl-ns: Path for import in epub/docbook.xsl points to wrong directory

2010-01-31 Thread Dylan R. E. Moonfire
Package: docbook-xsl-ns
Version: 1.75.2+dfsg-4
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

In usr/share/xml/docbook/stylesheet/docbook-xsl-ns/epub/docbook.xsl, there are
three XSL imports. All three point to the docbook-xsl directory not
docbook-xsl-ns. When using a DocBook 5 file to make an epub file, it
generates a lot of errors and doesn't properly format the file (using fbreader
as a test). Changing these to point to docbook-xsl-ns removes the errors and
fbreader renders the file properly.

Bug#563675:

2010-01-05 Thread Dylan Spies
Package: gnote
Version: 0.7.0-1
Severity: normal

This is upstream as https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=605869 and
appears to have been fixed in the recently released 0.7.1.

FWIW, until that version is packaged, (re)moving the offending add-in (from
/usr/lib/gnote/addins/0.7.0/libnoteoftheday.so) allows gnote to start and run
properly.

Bug#561512: texlive-latex3: Please mention mathtools empheq in the description

2009-12-17 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: texlive-latex3
Version: 2009-4
Severity: wishlist

Could you please mention in the package description that this includes
mathtools and empheq (which used to be separate packages)? It took me
a bit of poking to figure out that the MH bundle includes these two.

I'd suggest that in the description, instead of the current

  mh -- The MH bundle

you put

mh -- The MH bundle, including breqn, flexisym, xfrac, mathtools,
mathstyle, and empheq

Best,
Dylan Thurston

Bug#558726: bsdmainutils: [cal] incorrect tabbing for multi-month output

2009-11-29 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: bsdmainutils
Version: 8.0.2
Severity: normal

As of today, November 29, 2009, the 'cal -3' output is incorrectly
aligned. It looks approximately like this:

d...@amaryllis:~$

except that the current date (November 29) is highlighted, both under
November and under December. The last line of December is misaligned.

The highlighting is probably the problem, as 'cal -3 -h' does not
exhibit the problem.

Presumably other dates would trigger the bug as well.

Dylan Thurston

Bug#557103: uw-imapd occasionally corrupts /var/spool/mail/[user] and ~/mbox

2009-11-19 Thread Dylan Smith
Package: uw-imapd
Version: 7:2007b~dfsg-4+lenny3
Severity: important

On rare occasions, uw-imapd is corrupting users mailboxes. The problem
has been observed with the /var/spool/mail/[username] file as well as
~/mbox. The problem has been observed with users who are using Apple's
mail.app on OS X 10.5, and with users of Outlook Express on Windows XP.
I have not seen the problem occur with SquirrelMail, but it's entirely
possible that this is because SquirrelMail is used rarely.

Instances of mailbox corruption are irregular and occur on average
about once a month, although it did happen to a Mail.app user twice
in two days.

The result is from around 30 to 200 (approximate) bytes of garbage
overwriting that amount of the first message of the mailbox, from the
first byte of the file. The file must be manually repaired before the
user can get to their mailbox by constructing valid headers in place of
the corrupted data.

1) Plug in the tablet on USB
2) Run 'xinput set-mode Wacom Intuos3 6x8 RELATIVE'

Bug#545323: xserver-xorg-input-wacom: Intuos3 ExpressKeys do not work

2009-09-06 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: xserver-xorg-input-wacom
Version: 0.8.3.2-1
Severity: normal

On an Intuos3, I cannot get the ExpressKeys to produce any events that
X sees. I checked with xev and with running an 'xinput test' for each
Wacom device. Specifically, the output of 'xinput list' is below; I
ran a simultaneous 'xinput test' on
   Wacom Intuos3 6x8 eraser,
   Wacom Intuos3 6x8 pad,
   Wacom Intuos3 6x8 cursor, and
   Wacom Intuos3 6x8.
Everything worked as expected, except that there were no events from
the express keys next to the pads, whether or not the stylus was near
the drawing surface.

Bug#545332: xserver-xorg-input-wacom: Option TPCButton does not work

2009-09-06 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: xserver-xorg-input-wacom
Version: 0.8.3.2-1
Severity: normal

On a Wacom Intuos3 tablet, the option TPCButton in xorg.conf doesn't
appear to do anything. I've attached the xorg.conf as I was trying it
and the resulting log file; you can see that the option was detected
and claimed to be turned on, however, the buttons on the stylus
continued to behave as before. (That is, clicking the buttons near
the tip of the stylus produces button 2 or button 3 as appropriate,
before the tip is pressed.)

By the way, I'm surprised that there doesn't seem to be any way to
change this option (or other useful options, like the Speed option)
after X startup using xinput.

Bug#539090: xserver-xorg-video-intel: Extreme slowness after upgrade from 2.7.1-1

2009-07-28 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel
Version: 2:2.8.0-1
Severity: normal

Certain drawing operations seem to be extremely slow after a recent
upgrade from 2.7.1-1. I notice this in firefox or in okular (KDE's
PDF viewer), but it's most obvious, oddly, in some of the options from
the game 'loopy' from sgt-puzzles, in the settings with lots of
diagonal lines. For instance, 'loopy 9x9t4' takes about 45 seconds to
start; this is new behaviour since the upgrade.

I'm using a 915GM on a HP nc6220 notebook, with a 1400x1050 display.
I set my virtual screen size to 1600x1200 since I sometimes use an
external monitor with that resolution. I notice the slowness whether
or not using the external monitor.

(I'll note that this upgrade did also fix two different display
glitches: in the older versions, text mode used to get corrupted, and
the screen would occasionally flicker momentarily.)

Bug#515282: okular: In Fit Width mode, menubars can toggle on and off

2009-02-15 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: okular
Version: 0.7.1-1
Severity: normal

In Fit Width mode, it is possible for a document is just the right
size to fit on the page when there is a vertical scroll bar and not
fit on the page without a vertical scroll bar. (This is because there
is slightly more horizontal room without the scroll bar, which leads
to the entire document being slightly larger.) In this circumstance,
okular will continue to cycle between displaying and not displaying
the scroll bar.

I'm not sure which value you intend to set it to? There are two

Did you happen to set /apps/metacity/general/raise_on_click to false?
IIRC this also has an impact on this issue.

I had raise_on_click set to true (checked in gconf-editor). If I set
it to false, then the problematic behaviour seems to go away in my
limited testing, which if I understand correctly is the reverse of
what you were expecting.

Bug#511999: gnome-control-center: Keyboard option Disable sticky keys if two keys are pressed together has no effect

for instance, by 'xkbset'. The other options in that screen do take
effect immediately, but this option (called 'twokey' by xkbset) has no
  effect.

This option works here on 2.24. Could you confirm whether upgrading to
 it fixes the issue?

I get the same behaviour with 2.24 as before (with 2.22). Evidently
there's something about the rest of my setup; any ideas? Why does
xkbset work and not gnome-control-center?

Bug#513879: gnumeric: Copy of attached file causes X to hog CPU

2009-02-01 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: gnumeric
Version: 1.8.4-1
Severity: normal

On some circumstances, copying causes the X process to start hogging
the CPU. As far as I can tell, the CPU usage seems to be proportional
to the number of date fields included in the copied region.

To reproduce the bug:
* Open the attached CSV file with gnumeric.
* Select all the non-empty cells.
* Select 'Copy' from the 'Edit' menu.

On my system, this causes the X server process to start using 100% of
CPU.

In case it is relevant, I am using metacity 1:2.24.0-1 and
xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.3.2-2+lenny6.

I'm not sure which value you intend to set it to? There are two

Bug#511999: gnome-control-center: Keyboard option Disable sticky keys if two keys are pressed together has no effect

2009-01-15 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: gnome-control-center
Version: 1:2.22.2.1-2
Severity: normal

In Keyboard Preferences, the option Disable sticky keys if two keys
are pressed together has no effect; if no other action is taken, the
option is effectively always on. Presumably this option is meant to
control the underlying behaviour of the xkb extension, as revealed,
for instance, by 'xkbset'. The other options in that screen do take
effect immediately, but this option (called 'twokey' by xkbset) has no
effect.

Bug#508634: Further diagnosis

2009-01-11 Thread Dylan Thurston
Earlier, I indentified that the problem was these lines in okularrc:

[MainWindow]
Height 1050=1050
Width 1400=1400

There was the remaining question where these lines came from. If I
open okular, maximize the window using my window manager (metacity),
and then quit, these lines (causing the earlier-mentioned bug) come
back.

Best,
Dylan Thurston

Bug#510543: gimp: Newly opened files sometimes appear under old window

2009-01-02 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: gimp
Version: 2.4.7-1
Severity: normal

When I open a new file by pressing 'Ctrl-O' in an existing image
window, the new image appears underneath the existing one, which is
confusing. (The new window has the focus but is not raised; since my
images are exactly the same size, it is completely invisible.)

I'm not sure that anything can be done about this in GIMP, since it's
usually up to the window manager to decide where how to place new windows.

Should this be reassigned to metacity, then? I haven't observed this

Bug#508634: Further diagnosis

I have some further diagnosis and a workaround: when the bug is
manifested, the file .kde4/share/config/okularrc contains these lines:

Width 1400=1400

(My normal screen is 1400x1050. I sometimes use a 1600x1200 screen,
although I haven't used that screen since I started using okular, so
I'm not sure where those lines came from, except maybe a kpdf
installation.)

Changing this to

makes the bug disappear.

(I've attached the complete buggy okularrc.)

Bug#508634: okular: Does not exit full screen mode

2008-12-13 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: okular
Version: 0.7.1-1
Severity: normal

Okular will at least sometimes refuse to leave full-screen mode, with
several different ways to try.

* Entering Ctrl-Shift-F has no effect.
* Selecting Exit full screen mode from the pop-up menu has no effect.
* Showing the menubar and selecting Exit full screen mode from the
menu hides the menu bar, but otherwise has no effect.

In all cases the screen flickers as though okular temporarily exited
full-screen mode and then immediately reentered it.

This has happened briefly in the past and I managed to exit full
screen mode (without completely diagnosing the problem); the most
recent time I was unable to exit the mode at all. Since documents are
currently being opened in full screen mode, this is somewhat annoying...

I am using the metacity window manager version 1:2.22.0-2.

Bug#506304: xfce4-mcs-plugins: Sticky keys get deactivated randomly

2008-11-20 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: xfce4-mcs-plugins
Version: 4.4.2-4
Severity: normal

I have Sticky Keys turned on, and during the middle of my session
Sticky Keys stop working. If I go back to the Settings Manager and
reactivate them, it works again. This will happen in the middle of a
session. This seems to be the same bug that has been reported on
Xubuntu here:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce-mcs-plugins/+bug/192934

One further note: I do not have the Two Keys Disable option turned
on. I do sometimes press two keys at once, though. (I just started
using sticky keys.)

Bug#504979: transfig: fig2mpdf manual needs English corrections

2008-11-08 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: transfig
Version: 1:3.2.5-rel-3.1
Severity: minor
Tags: patch

The fig2mpdf manual has many spelling mistakes and other English
errors. In the attached patch, I went through and fixed the errors I
found in the man page. On the HTML documentation I just ran a spell
checker; there are still many errors. You may want to run it by the
debian-l10n-english team.

Best,
Dylan Thurston

Bug#504986: transfig: Please indicate Debian modifications

The EPS and PS files (at least) generated by fig2dev include a header
saying that they were generated by fig2dev Version 3.2 Patchlevel 5.
This is not really true, since there are substantial Debian
modifications, notably 08.1_PS-DSC-fix.dpatch. Could you indicate the
Debian modifications somehow in this line (and similar places)? It
would help keep track of which versions cause problems.

Bug#504985: transfig: fig2ps still exports private information

2008-11-08 Thread Dylan Thurston

It seems that Bug #316382 has come back: currently generate EPS or PS
files do contain user information. The problem seems to be that
04_displaywho.dpatch does not patch genps.oldpatterns.c, and
08.2_genps_oldpatterns.dpatch puts that file over genps.c.

Bug#492517: haskell-mode: Need more lines in site-start file

2008-11-05 Thread Dylan Thurston
Package: haskell-mode
Version: 2.4-1
Followup-For: Bug #492517

The previous message gives a workaround, but this is a genuine bug
that needs to be fixed. The problem is that
/etc/emacs/site-start.d/50haskell-mode.el is missing several commands
needed for correct startup of the haskell modes. It seems that the
correct site startup file is included in the package, at
/usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/haskell-mode/haskell-site-file.el ; I
don't know why there is a separate, incomplete version. In
particular, the missing command for this bug is this:

(autoload 'inferior-haskell-load-file inf-haskell \
Pass the current buffer's file to the inferior haskell process.
If prefix arg \\[universal-argument] is given, just reload the previous file.

\(fn optional RELOAD) t nil)

Perhaps you want to delete the documentation, but it is a bug not to
arrange for the autoload to happen. (Perhaps an alternative is to
load haskell-site-file when haskell-mode is first entered; that should
suffice to fix this bug, but I haven't checked if there would be
problems with other autoloads.)

Bug#489775: libparams-validate-perl: prototype.patch bug: Undefined subroutine Params::Validate::_validate called at /usr/lib/perl5/Params/ValidateXS.pm line 131.

2008-07-07 Thread Dylan William Hardison
Package: libparams-validate-perl
Version: 0.91-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Lines 131 and 132 of /usr/lib/perl5/Params/ValidateXS.pm are invalid.
They were added in 0.89-3 (UNRELEASED), with a note:

NOTE to potential uploaders: please check if debian/patches/prototype.patch
 is
 sane and remove it otherwise

debian/patches/prototype.patch is most certainly not sane, and it should
be removed. Removal of this patch fixes the problem.

A more elaborate explaination:

pod-coverage complained about the original source lines, which looked
like this:

 *validate  = \_validate;
 *validate_pos  = \_validate_pos;

So, prototype.patch was created, which makes them read this way:

 *validate  = \_validate([EMAIL PROTECTED]);
 *validate_pos  = \_validate_pos(\@@);

Perl interpretes \_validate([EMAIL PROTECTED]) as \ (_validate([EMAIL
PROTECTED])),
which is: passing @$ as a reference to _validate(),
and take a reference to the return value.

This causes the program to die, because at the time it is called,
there is no _validate() function (it is undefined).

Bug#473343: [Pkg-xfce-devel] Bug#473343: xfce4-battery-plugin: Only gives info on one battery

Could you retry with latest (-6 or -7) plugin, and report back. The
sysfs patch was really ameliored in -6 so it may have changed something.

With xfce4-battery-plugin version 0.5.0-6, the output looks somewhat
plausible: with my main battery at 100% and the travel battery at 94%,
the battery plugin reads 96%. I'm guessing this is the expected
behaviour. The only small glitch I see is that when the travel
battery is removed the percentage full doesn't change for a few
minutes.

Bug#488850: amsn: new upstream version 0.97.1

Version: 0.97-3
Severity: wishlist

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

A new version is available on http://www.amsn-project.net/

The aMSN version 0.97.1 is a release which contains only bug fixes from
our last stable version 0.97, so this is, as of today, the most stable
version we have ever done.

It is important for you to update, because this version also fixes a
critical bug that prevents a lot of our users from connecting to the MSN
network. This is caused by a recent change in the protocol from the MSN
server which made aMSN unable to connect to the network... so if you are
having such problems, please update!

Bug#485675: openarena: new stable upstream version 0.7.7

2008-06-10 Thread Aïssi Dylan

Package: openarena
Version: 0.7.6-1
Severity: wishlist

A new version is available on http://openarena.ws/

Several bug fixes have been fixed. It is highly recommended that players
must upgrade to this patch.
If you see no servers, that means none of them are running 0.7.7 :).
This will hopefully put an end to that INVALID GAME FOLDER issue.

- Fixed Getting stuck bug
- Fixed logging bug
- Fixed UI crash
- Fixed overflow in Multiplayer list + Some of beast's changes to server
list (longer names)

- Instantgib and All rockets disabled during single player startup
- Clears nextmap after single player
- Windows only: new SDL.dll allows Caps Lock and Num Lock to be used as
keys.
- Using protocol number 69, this should only now show servers running
0.7.7 (In other words, no more lotsofservers with 'invalid game folder'
error)
