Bug#911280: smartmontools: enabling support for nvme
Package: smartmontools Version: 6.6-1+b1 Followup-For: Bug #911280 Dear Maintainer, after the upgrade the systemd unit for smartd was reported as failed. Turns out that nvme suport for smartmontools is experimental and must be activated using the switch -d nvme. Adding the option to the unit command fixed the problem as it opt in for smart support for nvme disks. -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.2.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages smartmontools depends on: ii debianutils 4.9 ii libc62.29-2 ii libcap-ng0 0.7.9-2+b1 ii libgcc1 1:9.2.1-8 ii libselinux1 2.9-2+b2 ii libstdc++6 9.2.1-8 ii lsb-base 11.1.0 Versions of packages smartmontools recommends: ii mailutils [mailx] 1:3.5-3 Versions of packages smartmontools suggests: pn gsmartcontrol pn smart-notifier -- Configuration Files: /etc/smartd.conf changed: DEVICESCAN -d nvme -d removable -n standby -m root -M exec /usr/share/smartmontools/smartd-runner -- no debconf information
Bug#892319: neovim: Neovim does not provide vim.basic alternative
Package: neovim Version: 0.2.2-3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, when using ldapvi or other packages that query the alternatives database for vim.basic it spawns nano or other editors different from vim. As an example you can use ldapvi --host ldap.forumsys.com --user cn=read-only-admin,dc=example,dc=com --discover --bind-dialog always as described by this page for their Online LDAP Test Server https://www.forumsys.com/tutorials/integration-how-to/ldap/online-ldap-test-server/ the password for read-only-admin is password This is the result of succesfull authentication, ldapvi will show a page with information about the LDAP entities using nano. Upon exiting there will be a new line of message from /usr/bin/sensible-editor. --- Login Type M-h for help on key bindings. Filter or DN: cn=read-only-admin,dc=example,dc=com Password: 23 entries read /usr/bin/sensible-editor: 25: /usr/bin/sensible-editor: /usr/bin/vim.basic: not found No changes. I'm not aware of the differences between vim and vim.basic so I don't know if vim.basic should still be used. Bug#890068: uim-data: overwrite filefrom uim-anthy
Package: uim-data Version: 1.8.6 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, during upgrade dpkg cannot overwrite the file /usr/share/uim/anthy-key-custom.scm because it is also in package uim-anthy As a result I can't upgrade anything that requires input (vim, gedit, ...) and my current system upgrade has been interrupted. My system can boot but it will stall before the login prompt as (I suppose) it won't find any mean of asking the user for input.
