Bug#352363: kdevelop3: many GUI settings not saved and restored

2006-02-11 Thread EikeSauer
Package: kdevelop3
Version: 4:3.3.0-2
Severity: minor

When I open kdevelop3 (in tabbed mode), the subwindow for
source code is about 200*250 of 1280*1024 pixels small.
Although I closed some of the tabs like new file,
file selector, bookmarks, ..., they are recreated
on every statup.
I'd love to have my favourite settings remembered.

Bug#351290: kdevelop3: auto-completion doesn't work for QT and KDE libs

2006-02-03 Thread EikeSauer
Package: kdevelop3
Version: 4:3.3.0-2
Severity: normal

I do not get auto-completion for QT or KDE libraries.

Yes,
I did read the FAQ of kdevelop,
I did generate the persistant class stores for QT and KDE,
I do get completion for my own classes.

Kdevelop show that it does recognise the class, it shows it's name
in the lower left corner. It just doesn't give me auto-completion.

Might be related to http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109650

Bug#323447: gstreamer0.8-alsa: downgrading to Sarge helped

2005-12-18 Thread EikeSauer
Package: gstreamer0.8-alsa
Version: 0.8.11-2
Followup-For: Bug #323447

I've got the same playback problems with version 0.8.11-2.
Downgrading gstreamer0.8-alsa to Sarge made the problem go away,
installing 0.8.11 again made it return.

The .asound change did the trick for me, I attached the one
I was using that doesn't work anymore. My sound card is a
Terratec DMX 6Fire Light with an ICE1712 chip.

Some days after upgrading from Sarge to Etch, I began to get

When I change or delete the signing key in Options-Identity,

the key information gets saved.
When I try do delete the key info, this change can't be saved
even if I change something else, press apply and ok.

Bug#302383: gv: problem with Unicode chars when jumping to page

When I open the file
http://user.cs.tu-berlin.de/~eikes/debian/dm4-2-links.ps ,
which contains some little red arrows in front of some
paragraphs, I don't always get to see the arrows.
When I jump directly to the last page, there's no arrow
in front of What goes into the directory?
When I go down from page 1 to 5 with the page down key,
I do see this arrow.

The same applies to kghostview. Do these share a code
base so I have to report the bug only once?

Bug#302404: /usr/bin/mozilla-suite: printing with kprinter/CUPS inserts unwanted space after typographic quotation marks

2005-03-31 Thread EikeSauer
Package: mozilla-browser
Version: 2:1.7.6-1
Severity: normal
File: /usr/bin/mozilla-suite

I try to print the following (w3c validator clean) web page:
http://www.inform-fiction.org/manual/html/s2.html

When printing with kprinter and CUPS (to PDF), I get extra space
after what I would call typographic quotation marks (those little
ones looking like a small 66, see attached image).
(I heard there is a different standard in Europe than in the US
which of those are the opening and which are the closing marks.
Perhaps Mozilla just want's to be clever?)

Bug#301966: kmail: crash when changing spell check language (probably race condition)

2005-03-29 Thread EikeSauer
Package: kmail
Version: 4:3.3.1-3
Severity: normal

I had a crash, and I could repeat it several times, but it did
not crash every time, so I can't give exact steps how to reproduce it.

What I did is the following:
- replied to a mail
- chose extras - spell checking
- changed the language while spell checking

I got a message box telling me that the change won't have
an effect until the dialog box is restarted, and, on the
same time, I sometimes got the dialog box spell checking
with the new chosen language.
- I pressed cancel on the spell checking box
- and ok (the only choice anyway) on the message box
Then kmail crashed.

The text in the mail probably has to have some words which
are wrong in the first and some words which are wrong in the
second language.

Bug#301691: kpdf: handling of large PDFs

2005-03-27 Thread EikeSauer
Package: kpdf
Version: 4:3.3.2-1
Severity: important

I can't get kpdf to load a large PDF. I wanted to read
http://www.inform-fiction.org/manual/DM4.pdf
When I load it with kghostview, I can see the first pages
after two seconds.
I waited 5 minutes for kpdf to show me anything about it,
then I had to kill the app. I tried this several times.
(I've got an Athlon64 (in 32 bit mode) and 1 GB RAM.)
I consider this an important bug, as PDF handling is what
the application is all about.
